"I heard an announcement on the radio a few days ago that it's all changed and the competition this year is see who can hear it the most because so many places are no longer playing it! "
It's a shame, because it's a great song.
I think people are more likely to lie about how many times they've heard it though. |

It is a good song, bit corny but aren't most of the Christmas ones.
I suspect just as many lie about not hearing it! |

"The radio in the gym changing room finally got me yesterday!"
I was signing along too and then "oh FUCK" and had to explain the game to a confused gym buddy |

Takes a while for it to sink in.
I was singing away as I left a bauble shop in Bruges one year, and twigged as I stepped onto the pavement. |

Smooth Radio play it multiple times each day. I didn't even bother entering! I'd like to think I'm winning the "who heard it the most" competition |

"Still in.
Did you see the thing about the DJ at the football stadium played it on purpose. Knocked out ~7000 people.
I didn't see the date, so maybe it was a previous Christmas "
Yes, I read an online article.
I wonder how he lives with himself. |

Am still in. Someone just explained what this is - had NO idea until today. Haha!
Not actually heard this pitiful dirge for years that is actually about a failed relationship and only about "Christmas" as a setting/timeframe as "Birthday" or "Summer" or whatever substitute you choose would work equally fine. |

I’m still in! I don’t know how I managed as I was in the car a long time yesterday with the radio on, and various radio stations playing between regions. And I’ve been in supermarkets too. I’ve heard everything else - even Cliff Richard! |

Those kind of people deserve coal in their stockings. |

"Has something happened to the song? Why is nowhere playing it? I’ve still not heard it"
I've not heard it while out, only on my phone on YouTube, then last night it came on the radio at my sister's.
I've heard John Lennon's Happy Xmas (war is over) loads of times, and I can't stand it. |

I love that song!
I haven’t heard it on the radio. Just caught someone on tik tok live |

I don't think I've heard it for years. I don't have a radio, nor listen to music in the car if driving alone (I like to concentrate with no distractions).
I may have heard it at a Xmas party before lockdowns began, and I've not been to any parties since.
I just find the whole whole concept of avoiding a song a bit odd. And why that one ? I don't get it...it makes no sense. |

"Fucking hell I’m out. A guest in my house put a Christmas playlist on and it was the first song
Hahahaha so close
I literally said FOR FUCKS SAKE "
And what did we learn? Don't invite people in to your home. |

"To be clear, I have to make it to midnight? (the time, not the fabber) or all of tomorrow? When is the finish line? "
It finishes at "the end of the 24th December" according to the rules |

Someone tried to catch me out too. Absolutely no need for it. Rightly so, nobody needs that negativity in their life |

"Well done Wham winners, I hope you celebrated by playing it on full volume all day
Merry Christmas
I made it. Unfortunately heard it twice today. I was hoping to go the full month! "
Where did you hear it? I've heard it once in a shop. |
