A nativity was something never done in my primary. We did have a school show where I was a Martian though.

Little boy did his nativity a few years ago and he was a shepherd.

Boo's World

Growing up myself, I played various parts in the nativity play.

My three children have never once been in a Nativity play as the schools don't do them.

Thank goodness my school didn't do them. Whereas I've had to sit through far too many of the blasted things since having children. My children have been various parts, a shepherd, a star, the innkeeper, this year the youngest was a villager. I'm just grateful I didn't have to supply a donkey or sheep costume

Listening to PM on radio four last week commented that at their children’s nativity play, the shepherds had a fallout on stage and got to fighting over who should carry the doll, and baby Jesus ended up in the audience,

I was the narrator in one, and a door-stop in another. (Yes, that well known nativity character, the door-stop...)

If I recall correctly, it was grey or brown trousers and tshirt, to resemble a wooden block or a rock. I held that door open like a goddamn pro.

Good point. I might have had the spotlight on me for a while. And I think the cast pointed to me. Too.

Manchester-ish

An angel, a narrator and one very special year... I played the triangle!

(musical instrument, not the shape, I don't think the world is ready for a polygonativity)

My youngest daughter and youngest grandson (they 10 days in age difference) played Mary and Joseph together in their nursery school! They were so cute x

I was in one every year. I always wanted to be Mary but I never was. I always seemed to be an angel.

One of the Three Wise Men (every year, so probably carried all gifts at some point as I was a very versatile actor).

As one of the few non-white faces in primary school, casting was pretty literal...

I couldn't sing and didn't want to act so I was the prop master. Moving props between scenes.

Looking back, why was I wearing green tights?
