After being slapped hard on the backside by a guy at the bar l turned around and slapped him in the face , Was that the right reaction?

There are plenty of bars where l would have been barred for reacting without telling the staff.l told the bar staff what had happened ,didnt go any further, the guy sort of tried to apologise, saying he done it in fun.

Right reaction, I don't know, it was your reaction. Someone else could yell, someone else could just be scared to do anything. But if your first reaction was that then go with your gut.

I don't think the perpetrator would contact the police knowing there's a good chance he's going to be charged with a sexual offence.
