Christmas cake with extra marzipan.

Mince pies are a close second, especially with marzipan in them too!

That sounds delicious.

I wonder if I could make something similar, it would be quite simple to do.

Durham Tees

Take your dried fruit, undry it by leaving some in whisky overnight to plump up a wee bit, then stir it into your porridge in the morning. Fucking yum!

You don't need much whisky but you can also do it with orange juice or something else if you prefer.

Hey don't steal our words

Keks=biscuit in German.

Funny how it's something different in Poland. Wonder where the word is from originally?

Probably 'borrowed/implemented' during the time of the Prussian occupation. I'm from that part of the country there are lots of German sounding words in the local dialect as well as in Silesia region.

That makes sense. Another thing learned.

In my area we still have quite a few words from the French...thanks to Napoleon

At Christmas, my missus makes Biscotti that has dried fruit in it.

And even though I'm not a fan of dried fruit, she somehow makes it very moreish to me!
