Squatting. It should be illegal to buy up homes in country villages that you will only use as a holiday home at the expense of locals not being able to live in their own villages.
I'm not talking about breaking in and trashing places with drug fueled parties like the media like to write stories about. I'm talking about people not having anywhere decent to live because those that have money want multiple homes or a huge "buy to rent" portfolio.
Back in the 80s there was a whole block of squats near me that housed 100s of people. Got torn down and is now a morrisons. |

Cannabis & Marijuana should be legalised....
I also think if alcohol was produced now it would be illegal....it does way more harm then Cannabis & Marijuana when binge drinked.... |

The price government paid at the time to get the Church to endorse the change in legislation!

I’ve often wondered why the UK has never sensibly debated updating its drug legislation; I’m happy to be corrected as always!
Given the vast majority of illegal substances that are freely available throughout England (if you know the right person or right cell phone number); when I lived in Kent, several “country” pubs were ‘go to’ locations for green, white and brown, it was common knowledge.
I can’t comment for Wales or Ireland, but Scotland on the face of it seems to have a significant “illegal” drug problem!
I’ve never bought into the whole “gateway drug” bullshit, seems to be the standard political rhetoric given none of them want to touch the subject knowing they’ll get burnt!

Recreational drug use.
It should be taxed to the hilt and all the money currently spent on enforcement should go into health services.
One downside is that if neighbouring countries don’t do the same, then all the idiots arrive for their druggy holiday.
But smoking in public of anything, definitely stamped out. Dirty fuckers, inflicting their smoke on others.

I have friends who have habitually used cannabis for 30 plus years. Most have some sort of mental illness and are paranoid. I cannot say this is down to their drug use as I have tried it many years ago and didn’t like it. All it made me do was want to sleep and eat.
However it is smoked/taken in one form or another by an ever increasing amount of people. I also think it is an untapped source of medicine which should be explored.
As with all illegal drugs it should be legalised and taxed.
This would stop all the criminality involved. It would free all the resources put in to stopping the flow, which is pointless and obviously not working.
The tax gained could be used to educate against the use of said substances and treat the users we have.
Instead of just taking out all the time it would put something back. |

there are two compounds from . one gets you high and the other has medicinal properties. they have grown the plant to have next to non of the compund that gets you high. |

Love TP, and that documentary should be more well known. Absolutely vital viewing.
And yeah, I agree we all deserve to be able to choose to die in a humane painless way if we want to, and helping someone do that shouldn't be illegal. It's just a very tricky one legally when families and wills and lawyers are potentially involved. |

it really isn't. Not true addiction. 90% of users wouldn't suffer any negative effects (withdrawal) after 3-5 days. True addiction is much longer.
If I remember correctly (I had to research it for a court case a while back) the info was from the world health organisation |

I one of "these people", I like the smell and have never thought was odourless. They even sell it in "smell-proof" bags. I am quite certain every single smoker is aware that it has a strong smell.
The scent if mixed with aftershave is an aphrodisiac to me.

Actually it can cause psychological problems in those with pre existing mental health issues such as schizophrenia and bipolar. It can also cause cannabis psychosis regardless of what age you start using it |

There is a very complex connection between cannabis and mental health because a lot of people use it as a way to cope with their already struggling minds. It's very difficult to really understand where the damage is. But keeping it illegal only hinders us from gaining this understanding and it creates legal barriers and social shame when people do want to get help. There's over 3000 different cannabidioids in THC and CBD are only the two most prevalent and obvious ones.
Portugal decriminalised all recreational drugs several years ago, but hardly anyone ever mentions it and the country has not turned in to a "druggy holiday land" as someone else mentioned as they haven't really adopted the cafe culture you see in Amsterdam. They have sunshine there, and it's far nicer to smoke a joint in nature in the sun than a smokey cafe IMO. |

100 per cent agree people are just hypocrites, I don't see how one of the worst mind altering substances are legal and something that's not necessary addictive ain't in regards to marijuanna I personally can go weeks without a joint no sweats or nothing alcoholics can't say the same unfortunately Britain is full of people who enjoy alcohol and consume it passed the stage they should stop, people bad mouthing most are happy sit there with there beer or glass of wine |

Said that being a bit hypocritical myself as I've been on stage many years ago of needing a drink daily ain't never once needed a joint daily I can give or take with bud don't bother me go without the stuff on occasions I enjoy a wee doob, never once seen 2 stoners in street fighting cause they've had 1 to many joint or slurring there words causing problems for both the police/NHS |

Alcohol and smoking causes a lot more problems, death, stress to the nhs and anti social behaviour then cannabis ever did. Yet drinking and smoking to excess is perfectly legal...yet a drug that can help people medicinally in so many ways is vilified everywhere. We truly are a backwards society. |

I don't think most people have an issue with people smoking cannabis at home. It's the anti-sociable twats that walk the streets smoking it with no consideration for others with its awful smell. It's the same with people drinking no issues with people getting on the beers in the pub, however I don't want to out with the kids and seeing people walking the streets with a bottle of white lightning giving it the beans |

I have an issue with it. I live in a poorly constructed Victorian terrace and my new neighbours seem to like to sit in their bedroom chain smoking the stuff all the time they’re at home. Because the walls are thin and leaky by modern standards it’s starting to stink my home out. |

Higher speed limits, cars are so safe nowadays.

Agreed! Iv worked in care for over a decade, seen my fair share of drawn out, slow deaths. If all the papers are in place, signed, dated, checked etc, then it should be legal. But itd have to be on a case to case basis.

This needs to be made legal right now, to intentionally crash for years.
Only do it to the 'idiot brigade', you know the BMW, Audi, Mercedes, 4x4, van man and boy racer. Letting the idiot think they are bullying you, by driving 6 inches of the rear of your car, blocking them from undertaking you. Until you reach a slow moving car, then you hit the brakes, leaving said driver to hope he has got the brakes to stop from hitting the car in front.
Also running cars off the road, bring a bit of mad max to the UK roads. |

I know an elderly Man in Ireland who was terrorised by a certain ethnic group for years....they repeatly burgled him & his farm....& Assaulted him....
One day he had enough as they were approaching his house once again to damage & burgle his property....He Shot one of them Dead....It's clear it was self defense but this elderly man got jail....
Many wondered & speculated why the Gardaí did nothing when all this abuse & burglaries & violation were going on....Some say the Gardaí feared this Irish ethnic group....I wouldn't be one bit surprised if that was the case!!!! |
