Can't believe this song is 30 years old!!!

Sharing it as 1993 was probably the best year of my life

I turned 20 and lived on Camden Road with my best friend opposite Cantalows skate park. We'd skate there every morning in the summer then kick back listing to punk/emotional hard-core and hip hop, drinking Snapple and eating tofutti. We ran vintage clothes stalls in the market and friends would drop by and hang out with us at work. Our flat was the ultimate party crash pad and regularly it would be over run with skaters, musicians and tattooists from around the world. I got my first tattoo that year. Saw some amazing bands (RATM, soundgarden, sepultura, Body Count, Cyprus Hill to name a few)

Basically i was living the most awesome life that I could possibly imagine. This song will always remind me of chilling with the best friend I could have ever had and all those pretty boys with the baggy pants, bruised bodies and big arse blunts.

Feel free to add a song from your glory days and share a story that you associate with it.

First time I ever heard Tool, supporting RATM at Rock City, May 93. What a mosh, what a night, what a year for music…

Rediscovered Tool recently.

Have the playlist running for the last 2 hours. Great band.

The 90s were a great time for bands! Couldn't drive yet in 93 so most music for me happened on CDs or cassette tapes. Or radio. And Rockpalast in German TV. Videotaped and collected...

Soundgarden, Melvins, Rocket from the Crypt, Helmet comes to my mind. Formative years for my music taste.

Helmet - unsung is one of my all time favourite songs.

You have great taste in music my friend. I'm going to "Club Antichrist" on Friday so I'll get to relive out my 90s rock/metal/hardcore misspent youth. Plenty of Rammstein too x

Well there was the time I saw crass appear as the secret support to the exploited at the 100 club..you can imagine how that went down with the nazi boneheads that used to infest the place.. luckily they served the beer in plastic glasses..

People tend to look at gigs back then with the usual rose tinted specs..but it's much better now a much better mix of people and a lot less violence..

I had a ticket paid for to see Nirvana at the Kilburn National. The person who went to buy my ticket then sold it on to a girl he was trying to pull.

I learnt a hard lesson about people that night lol

Not going to lie, I did like that aspect. Not the Nazi hate or punk spitting but that raw, sexually charged energy. Now everyone stands still with a £10 craft beer in one hand and their phone filming with the other.

Also, the amount of money and silver jewellery I'd find on the floor after lol

93 was also the year of "Enter the wu -36 chambers"

The early 90s was a golden era for hip hop and rock collaborations too.

The intrumental version 93 Til Infinity is simply mind blowing; simple yet complex. Going to have to put it on now
