Cooking a delicious roast dinner for my partner, she loves my cooking, and I love seeing her enjoy my food.
*with complete focus and attention to the task at hand, he boils the sweet potatoes, seasons the chicken, carefully folds a sheet of foil for the string beans and almond flakes. Chopping the onion and garlic for the homemade stuffing, preparing the carrots and broccoli to be gently fried off before going into the oven. Making the gravy to just the right consistency for her*
*He watches the time closely, calculating prep and cooking times so that everything is cooked perfectly. The roast needs to be perfect, thus the execution must also be perfect*

That's quite like how I cook, I follow recipes as a rough guide but for the most part I wing it, eyeball it, and trust my instincts. So I use food as a form of art, and when it comes out tasting delicious it's wildly satisfying |

I love cooking for my boys and Daughter in Law, they love my roast dinners and Lasagne.
My Daughter in Law is coeliac so every meal I make for her is a labour of love ensuring that ingredients are scrutinised for gluten or gluten derivative and there is no cross contamination from utensils or cooking vessels, worktops or from me
My youngest son lives alone and I love him coming home because I do spoil him with his home made favourites, he tells me he can't wait for one of my Christmas Dinners as it's been months since he's had one of my roasts

Personally I love cooking.
Getting the potatoes to just that point when boiling them so that when strained, allowed to absorb the last vestiges of moisture before tossing them in the pan to get just the right amount of fluff on the surface.
Toss them into a roasting pan thats just starting to pop with oil before drizzling lightly with Lemon Grass infused oil and a light sprinkling of salt and pepper. Finally roasting until golden and crispy.
It's an art form. Getting food just right.
I love it.
I'm good at it.
But cooking for one is just.....

I've been there, i love cookibg but when it was only myself, the motivation was lacking. It's the reason why I get so much enjoyment of cooking for my partner. Especially since she also knows how to appreciate good food |

The way to flirt with me is with food.
I love cooking, and feeding someone is my way of saying ‘ I want you to stay alive!’ 
I’ve offered to cook naked for someone (didn’t get to do it!)
I’d love to have someone cook naked for me, and I have them in the table afterwards for desert. Hasn’t happened.
I take care when cooking, I want them to enjoy it as much as I like to do it. Very rare has someone shown me something new, but when they do, it excites me. |
