I was wishing for today to come as I had a 50 cartridges have a go clay pigeon shooting shoot booked and it was fab!!
Wouldn't say I'm glad the week is over though as I've had the week off and go back in Monday lol

Well, since August the Mum and life partner have been at awful loggerheads once a friend died. No will, and some legal "greyness" over next of kin. Me and a group of friends managed to largely take over the funeral (took nearly 3 months for the cremation), but we did it, and it was awesome - everything about his life that should have been celebrated, was celebrated. Same for the wake. We made sure the ashes were scattered in the best place, last week, for his Mum and partner to both have "resonance" with the location.
That was most of the work done, but the ugly and tricky bits of finances and who owns what of his personal effects was still outstanding.
About 6 hours ago I got a call that largely settles his finances.
All the friends had visions of the whole thing being a drama that could last a year or more.
But, as of that phone call, we're now nearly there.
We're fucking exhausted, but it looks like we can tie it up in January/February, so that his Mum and partner can mourn him (they both absolutely loved him, but hate each other) in their own way, without any legal or functional need to be in the other's life any more.
And that's a typical Nick long post, but I'm knackered, and over the moon that most of the work is done, and everyone can mourn him properly now (soon) without all the acrimony.

It means 2 days off work, as well as only 3 working days before my Christmas break.
It also means closer to Christmas- no, I am not looking forward to it, but I am very much looking forward to Christmas being over, until next year! |

I don't really TGIF, as I do think if I did, I should change careers or jobs and review my life.
However Monday I'm flying to Switzerland to see my family and that will be nice.
Weekend in fuerteventura, it's like 27 degrees and sunny, naked beach, might play, so quite nice too |
