Hi, I'm just looking for a handy tip..
My 6 year old son has recently started to wear glasses. I've never worn them so this is all pretty new to me.
My problem is as a typical 6 year old boy the lens's get covered in I don't know what! I have to keep cleaning them for him.. But its usually greasy or sticky on there..
A good huff and wipe doesn't always work when we r out and about. Is there any handy tip for cleaning yuk off the lens without damamging the lens.. Any sort of wipes? |

"You can buy wipes especially for glasses but I use a microfibres cloth, works a treat and a lot cheaper
Ooo what's a microfibre cloth?"
Special cloths for dusting, glass, car cleaning etc that prevent scratching. eBay, amazon etc sell them x |

One of my lads and my girl have to wear glasses and you can buy proper wipes for them...mine have always had them stuck up with god knows what.
They don't leave a residue like wet wipes and get all the marks off. |

Your Optician would have supplied a cloth with the glasses.
All the major supermarket and Chemist chains sell microfibre cloths, spectacle cleaning sprays, cloths and wipes.
Simple! |

Be careful using anything that's not specially formulated for glasses, especially if you shower or bath with them on. Many shampoo's and shower gels can destroy the coatings on the lenses, HMAR anti reflective is particularly vulnerable to this type of damage |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
Run them under the tap and dry with a clean towel. Its the only thing that works for mine.
Bloody things get so dirty so fast. Obviously my sight isn't that bad because I can see every smear! |

You can buy special wipes to clean them as my friend at work has them. I either use them or wash mine in washing up liquid and warm water, then use a paper towel to dry them |
