But I actually feel the male one, I can walk certain areas without worrying, I don't feel threatened.
Plus I think I'm reasonably good looking which means people aren't weirded out when I chat to them in bars etc. |

I have disabled privileges. I get to tell people to feck off out of the 1 space on a bus. I can park for FREE in Manchester city centre allllllllll day (on the street) and I can go faster than the walking people, if the pavements aren't made from old industrial rubble.

That's an interesting one though. I as a woman don't feel safe but you more likely to be the victim of assault than i am. And as to your second point usually the level if attractiveness is inversely connected to how creepy you are perceived. |

Oh. Loads. I'm pretty. I'm white. I'm female. I was born in a country that gives a lot of allowances others are denied. I have a mathy brain and certain things come very easily to me.
All of those also have their own downsides, some more than others, but I can still appreciate the privilege each one grants even if there are more privileged or better options I could have been born with |

As a child I was very underprivileged financially and materialisticly. But I was very privileged to be brought up by very wise and loving parents in a stable household. Love to me as a child was something felt unconditional and limitless. Sadly dad died when I was 16. It's a privilege that is of huge value to me in my success in life (which isn't just financial) and my out look. Its a privilege I don't apologise for one bit, but I do realise it as a privilege and that it's sadly not one everyone gets.

Shhhhhh. Don't challenge the narrative. If you were to even hint or suggest that, actually, they live in one of the least misogynistic, least racist and least oppressive societies in human history, it's really upsetting for them - almost like they don't wanna check their own privileges or something, I dunno... ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Oh, yeah...no...I meant my parents chose to come here because it's so awful and they were downtrodden and didn't have the chances everyone else had because of endemic systematic isms of all kinds just grinding them down.
They didn't get jobs, or go on to open their own business, no banks helped them, no neighbours were good to them, they didn't make lots of friends here or anything. Truly awful for them.
It was so bad, that lots of their countrymen didn't come too, and none off them found happiness and success here either. Tragic story really. |

I cross the road when I see most lone men coming , depending on the time of day and my immediate reaction to what I glean in those few seconds.
It's not exclusively your preserve.
It's not even male privilege regardless of colour or creed because I will sometimes cross if there is a group of women ; again time and behaviour dependent.
It's too easy to interpret the actions of others to suit your own narrative.
To be fair.... I've got out of the way of dogs in the past, doesn't even have to be a big one.
Just one of the many things people have to navigate in their daily routines. |

I think all who live in Britain are privileged to a certain degree - we personally aren't as privileged as the woman I saw on YouTube yesterday who was moaning that the £2000 benefits she receives every month aren't enough, because we have to work for our money. Some always play the victim, some don't realise how lucky they are. |

Yes I have some privileges as someone who is white, middle classed etc. What has suprised me though is how quickly people dropped into treating me as a woman and adjusting these to match. For example I didn't expect the door opening thing or the loss of personal space and the assumption of less competence so quickly. |

I sit next to black men on buses.
I do enough of them to be thankful for any seat, regardless.
That's buses, not black men.
I'm the one no one wants to sit next to on the bus.
I've not worked out why yet.
