Who else out there operates on very little sleep?
I'm struggling this week at only getting a Mac of 6hrs a night but last night was only 3hr.
What's your tips to get through the day? X |

And now I’ve got to go to work.

Oh I think that is worse than just having had the 3 hours. Grind on friend |

I can't remember the last time I had more than 4 hours.
I've always operated on very little sleep.
The big difference over the last couple of years has been health related issues and the lack of sleep has really caught up with me now.
I suffer from chronic fatigue. |

Feel for you. Hope you get some rest soon x"
Thanks but I doubt it. It has been going on for 20+ years at this stage. |

"Me. I do 12hr nightshifts. Lucky if I get 4hrs sleep between shifts due to a busy life."
Regularly work nights myself but then I totally conk out for 5hrs or so once I hit my bed, lucky to drop off after that but because I get such a deep sleep for 5hrs or so, I feel fine |

I do and have done for most of my adult life. I find that I'm less lively or active when I've slept for more than 6 hours in one shot.
My secret is that I can take short naps or even micro naps and be able to keep chugginng on until the opportunity arises for a decent snooze.
I also don't tend to worry about not being able to get to sleep. That's more likely to keep me awake. I'll do something calming until I feel drowsy.

I sleep dreadfully.
Usually 1-2 hour powernaps through the night, with fully awake moment’s in between. I feel like a zombie most days, but power through it. |

I work nights, so I regularly only get 4 hrs broken sleep.
Plenty of vitamins, slightest sign of sunshine, get out in it, stand barefoot on the grass outside for a minute or two. And of course exercise and drink fantastic coffee. |

6 hours is a dream. Pun intended. On dayshift, which I do three in a row, I quite often get 2 or 3 hours. I've recently stopped sleeping before my first dayshift which means I sleep the next night and get more hours overall |

Yep, sent a message to my boss earlier saying the company name was Xxx Pie instead of Plc
Could not figure out why he laughed at me.
Its like having drinks on an empty stomach and feeling the dizzy come on

I do what we call the "crash and burn" - after so many sleepless nights I pass out on MrAbz and will be absolutely unwakeable for about 10hrs

Actually, I do notice that I have an amazing deep sleep if I've had a lot to drink. But obviously I wouldn't recommend that! It's the only thing that seems to knock me out. I would guess I get around 2 to 4 hours sleep most nights. |

Very variable. Occasionally I get 7 or 8 hours but most often it’s more like 5 or 6. To be honest I don’t often notice the difference, sometimes I feel happy after only a few hours and sometimes I feel grim after 8. I think it might depend on at what point in your sleep cycle you wake up, whether you wake naturally or you are disturbed. Sometimes I feel that, like I can feel my back getting creaky, I can feel my brain getting plaquey…. |

Always gone to bed very late so get about 4/4.5 hrs. Has been great practice for being a single parent with a baby. I've not felt the sleep deprivation people speak of.
Not sure how, just always been that way for as long as I can remember. |

OP I feel your pain. I get up at 4am for work, and I can never get to sleep before midnight usually. I’m a total night owl.
But then I get exhausted by the Friday and end up catching up on a weekend.
It’s not good for you!
Have you tried white noise? |

I have struggled for my whole life. Got a daith peircing for anxiety on Wednesday and have done nothing but sleep ever since! Mind you, I've got to sleep with the window open and an air purifier running. I'm on HRT and take magnesium to help with sleep and pain. I'm late tonight (02.45) because I was being a mum taxi driver. Picking my adult daughter up from her work crimbo party. Zzz |

Been averaging 3-5 hours for over 20 years now. And that’s not even unbroken!
How do I cope? I don’t really, it’s affected my health in numerous ways and is caused by various health conditions. I’m basically used to it now.
Caffeine etc doesn’t make any difference to waking hours, equally most things supposed to help me sleep don’t work either (I’m also crap when it comes to pain relief and even anaesthetic! These meds wear off me VERY quickly which has its own set of issues of course)
No fun but can’t change it. |

I'm so glad it's not just me lol.
I'm lucky to get 5-6 hours. My internal alarm clock goes off at 4:30 am every day regardless what time I go to bed.
I'm an active person so can't just stay in bed either. Usually go for a walk or run by the river at 5am and watch the sun rise
Not a bad start to each day |

Not uncommon that I can sometimes go 20 to 22 hours with no sleep.
Minimum I usually need is around 4 hours
Due to the nature of my work, I don’t really have a body clock
Sleep now is like a small hobby, I grab it when I can |

Bloody hell. I haven't been able to do that for about 18 years lol.
I'm on fumes now. It's Monday. |
