I'd just see the word tea and delete.

It's not bad, I'd go for "I hope I'm your cup of of tea because I cum-a-mile"

Carlisle usually

Put whatever you like.

It seems a touch negative to me to be in both the profile and an opening message.

But you do you OP.

Trying to remain as bland and inoffensive as possible isn't usually the best way to connect with people that would be interested in the parts of you that are kept back.

My own little world

Don't think it's bad pal, when I used to send out messages on here I'd normally add something at the end like hope to hear back if not hope they had a nice day anyways

There's nothing wrong with stating it but there is something wrong in feeling entitled to or expecting a reply *because* you've stated it.

You may as well say sorry for messaging you I’ll leave you to it. It doesn’t convey confidence.

Wherever I lay my hat

Personally I don't like bland. My inbox is full of bland. As said above there is a balance between 17 dick pics and so out of your face that you become unoticable. I don't mind the "if I am not your cup of tea" messages...usually those guys don't verbally abuse or pester me when I delete or say no thanks. Just be true to yourself - don't do what you think other want.

Mayfair

OP, do not mention the cup of tea, for most women reserve that sentiment and beverage for far more pleasurable outcomes: Åfternoon Teå.

Not everyone drinks tea and so you might be compromising yourself by mentioning a beverage they utterly detest.

There is no right answer. The women on here are a smörgåsbord of svelte, goth, sultry, moody, fickleness. Don't send any messages. Indeed wait for them to message you...and then tell them they are not your cup of sweet nectar.
