Giving people time to process

How patient are you with people when you give them a choice, or ask them to do something out of their comfort zone?

I'm bad for asking people to give me time to process what they're saying or asking; which sometimes causes me to make rash decisions.

Some people have been impatient and put pressure on me to make a decision, and I go with the safest one.

If they push I'll generally not answer them

I've done that too or just said no, or I don't know.

I hate feeling pressured over things I'm not comfortable with.

I'm unlikely to ask anyone to do something that's really out of their comfort zone.

I appreciate when people can be decisive

I wouldn't let anyone put pressure on me. I would process in my own good time.

Anyone putting pressure is just being selfish

My long term partner uses the? and well? He's impatient and doesn't like waiting.

I'm a forgive easily forget quickly person where he's concerned but it does stress me sometimes.

I think a lot depends on whether you are a 'fast' or 'slow' thinker

Get a mismatch of the two and it can result in burning down the house!

No your not bad if you need time to process things and stuff

People should be understanding and go at your speed if not then they are being pushy

Just recently a family situation meant absolute reserve. I don't know how one member was able to sit on knives drawn and instead put it to those after after a few days instead of ringing necks there and then. If they'd have gone with my initial call of sort it out, details would have been missed and graves wouldn't have been dug. Patience is a virtue, though so too is scope.

He sounds selfish. Not worth the stress.

Maybe tell him you need to decide/ sort things.

Depends on what the question is.

If he's asking if he can come round for a fuck I just wouldn't reply.

I give them time, I'd hate someone to rush me (that only makes me take longer to respond) x

I need my processing time.

I'm quite good at letting the people I care about know that I'm going to need time, and usually give a rough qestomatw of when I think I'll have an answer by.

Strangers getting pushy for an instant response just cause me to shut them down. I know what happens if I let the impulsive side take over, and I don't like those results. If I'm going to fuck up I'd rather do it with the knowledge that I weighed up the options and consequences beforehand and made as informed a decision as I could. Whether it was right or wrong in the end at least I can know it was my own choices that brought me there

Néro if you could see how absurdly adorable I look in my raccoon oodie there would be zero question of how endearing I can be

Well, I've seen it: and yes I can wholeheartedly concur that you look unabsurdly (sic) adorable, and somewhat sultry in your fleece caprice! It's almost like seeing you in civvies!

No, it's not that. He's not selfish where sex is concerned.

Wirral.

Depends on the situation - pushy over sex equates to a resounding rejection.

However, folk taking an hour to decide what they want from the menu or 3 days to decide if they're up for going out at the weekend need a good slap!

I’m ever in any rush and no one does anything they aren’t sure about , I wouldn’t allow them to. There’s no place for impatience and pushy ness in sex unless it’s part of agreed kink.

Oh, maybe I misunderstood the question. The problem is with procrastinators, they deliberate when they should satisfice and consult when they should deliberate. They lack courage. This is different to slow processors , I have both in my team, slow processes are invaluable and make some of the best decisions, much better than mine, procrastinators, drive me, insane.
