Who else forgot to have dinner?
Jump to: Newest in thread
I often do this... Usually with lunch. It gets to 3pm and I realise I haven't eaten anything proper.
I have only had my dinner in the last half hour, because I don't want to go to bed with an empty stomach. |

"What sort of weirdo forgets to eat@???
This weirdo....I just didn't get hungry, was engrossed in stuff and lost track of time.
So what's the issue? O don't get it"
No issue I was explaining what sort of weirdo forgets dinner |

I was totally remiss with my dinner duties. Instead I consoled myself with roast chicken, stuffing, goose fat roast potatoes, seasonal veg and Yorkshire puddings, 'not forgetting lashings of piping hot gråvy. † |

Surely you don't forget. You're either hungry and have dinner or you're not? |

I forgot to have dinner as wasn't hungry, so didn't think to. And didn't notice the time to realise I hadn't had it. |

Similar situation here too.
It happens occasionally.
I pushed to boat out tonight though.
A cuppa soup and a bread roll.
No lunch though. Just not hungry.
I'm pretty sure it'll hit me like a freight train tomorrow morning as I'm passing by a Mc D's drive through... (I must not stop. I must not stop. I must not stop).... |

I never forget because I have a family to cook an evening meal for every day. Fortunately I have trained some of them to make their own snacks when required. One day I may be free of this responsibility |

My daughter is home, so I did a roast chicken with onion, sage, bacon and bread stuffing; roast potatoes subs chantenay carrots, yorkshire pudding, peas, corn and homemade gravy.
Yum. |

Oh. I used to make a stuffing that was based on Jamie Oliver’s. With the bacon and dried apricots I could eat that alone with gravy. |

Jeez & I love apricots too....my traditional stuffing consists of
Mashed Potatoes
Good Quality Sausage Meat
Garlic
Onions
Sage
Lashings of Real Butter
& Turkey juice added omg it's delicious....
I make a massive pyrex dish of it....& I even eat it on its own ....I only do it once a year though cos I like to keep it special....
So now I'm thinking I'll make another stuffing too but with bacon instead of sausage meat & I'll add apricots too.....wonder would mangoes be nice in it also... |

All this sounds lovely, even at this time of the morning. Some stuffings are almost like a meatloaf, and could be a meal in itself. You are right though, only once a year for it to be this special! |

Sounds like my youth. |
