have the paint to repaint my bedroom - same colour as now - jade white for three walls and currently have oriental jade (very deep jade) on the back of the bed wall - just thought id look at wallpaper - would have to be special - blimey crikey i found 2 i really liked - one was £78 a roll and my fave a mere £42 - harlequin passion its called - im saving up for a new carpet and have 180 so far - more than enough for cheap carpet ( i know a fitter ) and thought id maybe paper a wall instead of repainting - sheesh maybe not -

i was going to have chinese silk wallpaper on my bedroom wall until i saw the price. i got some that was £25 in the end

wish i hadnt seen this really nice one - was going to have simple stripes and have them horizontal instead of vertical - maybe even diagonal - but got this image in my head now

Have you had a look at gilt stripe/gilt rose by Crown wallpapers? lots of nice ones at all prices on wallpaper direct. xx

had a look - now got a choice of 4 sent off for the samples they offer - thanks for that xxxx S

look on eBay you might find a paper you like on there, ppl sell anything these day even unused wallpaper when they have bought too much, just a thought

Dont rule out B&Q..they do quite a few nice stripes..

Horizontal stripes give a calming effect, vertical/diagonal give a more vibrant feel.

Get the paper first then match the paint to it..there are far more colours available and you will limit your choices massively if you try to match a paper to paint..one word o caution, if you go for matt finish dont use Dulux..what used to be vinyl matt is now just plain matt emulsion..you cant wipe it..it will come off.

Seems that they are on self destruct since Akzo took them over..products and prices are ridiculous.

All my paint is dulux and ive never had a problem with them, ive got there paper as well but ive only got the one wall papered in the whole house

i already have the paint - is the same as it is now - just going over - just considering papering the back wall ( which i think i can now afford ) - sent off for samples - see which i like - all my accessories are the right colours so dont want to change those - love my jade room

same here - 2 bits of alcoves in the lounge the rest is painted plaster
