I had a friend who went to Grillstock - he was in heaven. He also came back with lots of barbecue stuff that his wife still rolls her eyes at.

A little one or a big one? I have another friend who has built an entire smokehouse. So far he has smoked 1 entire garlic bulb. He could have done that with a plant pot.

"Pierogi...

This the Polish thing that you and Jack were discussing the other week?"

I think we were talking about Wiejska (a type of sausage) and a sauerkraut based stew (Bigos) that can be made with it.

Pierogi is a little like Ravioli, but the pasta is thicker and they're a different shape. They can be eaten boiled or fried in butter and, depending on the filling, served with melted butter, sour cream, caramelized onions and mushrooms.

My favourite filling is Twarog (similar to curd cheese) & potato.

I will have to get my Polish friend to introduce me to all of this food.

Much of it is very tasty, sorrel soup is another favourite of mine.

You may want to avoid Flaczky though, tripe stew is not for the uninitiated...
