"My mum recently changed her name back to her maiden name. She wanted to wait till we were all adults so we didn't have differently names to her while we were at school. "
Thats exactly why i kept my name because of school, just havent gotten round to changing it |

This is a pertinent question for me as a young widow! I'm not sure.... probably Ms. Though it always sounds a bit political and feminist, which is not a bad thing- just not particularly 'me' |

I've stuck with my married name which I've had since 1989, couldn't be arsed with changing back to my maiden name even though I've been divorced now since 2000 - and I'm still a Mrs, personally find Ms is not for me |

"I'm a Ms until I get made a Dame.
Im just waiting until im "officially" lady karen. Obvioiusly i already use it in preparation"
It can't be long for either of us. I hadn't thought of practice runs of Dame Lickety. |

One of the reasons I've not changed mine as I didn't want to have a different surname to my kids, but as they marry, their names are changing! |

I'm a Mrs - I earned that title and the respect that went with it. In my viewMs is for feminists and Miss (at my age) is spinsterish.
I officially use my last married surname but after 15 years of being single do often consider changing it. What to though? I kept that name for the sake of my children. Was married before so cannot use that one, can't stand my father so nothing would revert me to my maiden name. My mothers maiden name wouldn't suit my Christian name either.
So, I tend not to use a surname and am just known everywhere by either my shortened first name - I even sign that on documents - or by my internet name. |

"I feel like im about 100 when i get called Mrs, very few people call me it though. I went from having an unusual surname to having a really common one.
"
My maiden name is double barrelled, hated it at school now everyone seems to be. My married name is simple, I like it until I replace it...one day. |

Why do you think it's daft? |

I still have my married name although I am divorced now and have been for about 7 years.
The same as many above. I dont want my kids to have a different name from me.
Further down the line when I can afford it I will go double barreled so will have both x |

"I'm a Mrs...oooh, divorced four years today. "
I have absolutly no idea when my divorce actually came through, i know when we split up and i have a feeling it might of been around october/november.

I just use my name and never say Ms/Mrs in front of it. If filling out a form or its required professionally then its Ms. My mum used to be horrified when I attended antenatal appointments and just said my name, she used to berate me for not saying Mrs, claiming it gave me a negative image. I just prefer to say my name that's all |

Yep, I introduce myself for appointments meetings etc. by my christian and surname. Always have since being just a 'number' in the forces. Although my bank accounts are Ms. and I use Mrs or Ms for form filling.
Different hats for different personas ........ more often than not I'm known as 'Titch's' mum. |

Agree...letters sent from my office don't have a title, forms give you a choice, as someone above said, don't like Ms, Miss sounds spinsterish to me. |
