Happened to notice a stack of top shelf mags on sale in Yeovil somerset a couple of weeks ago did not take notice of what titles were there, even in this day and age a mag is still nice. There was a stack of old ones for sale in a local auction last week but my testicles weren't big enough to buy them. |

"I shall check the local bushes and check the dates
it is amazing that this really was a UK wide issue.
as a youth when you found a stash you were a mini Hugh Hefner for a few weeks"
Probably because most of these were bought by youths he didn’t dare take them home or who had nicked their Dads and didn’t want to take it home just let him believe Mum had found it |

I remember top shelf magazines like previous ones mentioned in newsagents etc in the 1980,s and 90,s can remember raider that was another magazine, and also having to have the courage to take one off the shelf but more so when others could see you doing so to buy, then comparing prices with those like rodox in sex shops where again at the time I felt uncomfortable with so much stigma about and people looking over their shoulders, It was a growing up phase for me and i don't visit such places now but even after 35 years the general public's attitudes have probably not really changed in that time but would be Interesting to know. |
