Their general attitude became something I could no longer abide, and/ or they were combative about the way in which I lived my life. |

Their general attitude became something I could no longer abide, and/ or they were combative about the way in which I lived my life. "

Not as radical as I would like but I think going veggie, openly living as a poly person and formally regularly challenging my employers on racism and culture are *relatively* radical changes I’ve made to my life. I hope in my life I can make more radical changes some day like move country, live on a commune, go vegan  |

Walking away from an employer after 34 years.
Simply because I could do my job blindfolded, saved them £1000s in fuel costs and had my dept running as smoothly as it had ever done and they "forgot" me when making presentations to long serving staff and management.
They have made numerous vain attempts over the last 4 years to get me back. |

I think I could be on the verge of making one now.
I'm being promoted to a job with much more responsibility but for an absolutely disgusting pay rise. I really feel like walking. |

Just turn it down.
It will make you feel better.
They offered the head chef position after 12 years in the hotel.
I turned it down for many reasons.
They were all surprised, kind of chin dropped.
I left a few months later, because it was effecting me, but still didn't regret it.
Fuck them!

Would that be for example preventing people with downs syndrome for example from having children by way of forced sterilisation/contraception etc ?? |

Yep, I'm quite likely to tip my life upside down from time to time.
I've walked away from marriages & good jobs. I've gone to study as an adult and moved around the world, purely because I wanted to.

Packed a bag and went to live abroad 
Done it a couple of times now…. Only for 6 months at a time … but sometimes you just got to give things a try.

I put my first ever CV on a business site and the very next day got invited for an interview the following week and offered the role at the interview.

Outside working hours. Handed in my notice the next day and because I had been there so long they allowed me to work whatever notice I wanted so I said 2 weeks. They made no attempt to keep me but 6 months later and after 3 others had tried and failed they wanted me to come back.
I've never been tempted even though the new job was cut short as a direct consequence of covid lockdowns. |

Having children. A 20-year minimum commitment period. If you have a special needs child, it can end up straining everything in your life, including your relationship. Yet few people deciding to have children are even aware of the possibility that their life could change even more dramatically than they are expecting. |
