Do you like one specific musical genre or a mix of most.
As a biker it’s easy to say some sort of rock but I went to Last Night of the Proms last year and was blown away by how powerful and moving it was.
I do struggle from about 2000 onwards |

There ain't a genre where I couldn't find something that I liked. I'll give all types of music a go. I've even had a friend turn me on to Japanese Rock and K-Pop recently, though I haven't yet found anything worth adding to my playlists lol |

My tastes are quite diverse. Enjoy a bit of glory days metal, RnB from the likes of Doja or Megan Thee stallion…and opera cause it’s such an ear bath after all that sugar. |

I'm actually quite eclectic - I tend to like what I like. My tastes broadly encompass goth, metal, hard rock, world music and folk, medieval music and classical music. My preferred radio stations are Planet Rock and Classic FM, and my favourite musical collaboration are Dead Can Dance.

There was some great work by Pierre Bourdieu about how musical taste is the bigger indicator of social class. And since there was some great research by a British guy called Atkinson about how applicable that idea still is in a world where we have more eclectic, omnivorous musical tastes. I’d recommend this to people who might be interested in that sort of thing.
Anyway I mostly listen to grime, rap, hip hop but occasionally enjoy some classic rock, indie or some reggae music. Reggae music has my heart. |

Different genre’s for different moods here.
Latin/Dance when I’m happy
Folk/Accoustic/Jazz when I’m chilled out
Love songs when I’m feeling mushy
Sad songs for when I need to embrace my sadness and maybe have a sniffle.
Soft rock/Pop songs for easy listening.
Rnb/Hip Hop when I’m feeling sexy
Etc Etc. |

Also I’d add that there are some key differences that still exist in our knowledge and consumption of music that is traditionally associated with dominant or dominated classes. Though Middle class people now like listening to grime music and everyone says they listen to classical music or opera, Atkinson notices slight differences still but cba to explain. HMU if you want to see me go full sociology geek x |
