No point in being upset and sentimental

Rather than being upset about losing a stone from a very sentimental ring, and to replace the stone would cost a small fortune, I decided to re-model the ring using the remaining stones instead, into a new ring.

Feel much better now that I have something new to look forward to.

I still havent gotten over loosing my gold chain, that i had an antique ring and a locket that i kept on it. I wore it all the while and still feel totaally lost without it, the necklace was the first present jay bought me.

Im glad your being able to work round itxx

I spent a good few hours today, first to look for a replacement ring, then to look for inspiration for the new ring.

I may get a temporary ring until I have sufficient fund for the new ring.

It's a 3-stone ring, 2 diamonds on each side of a ruby heart (yah, yah, I know what you are thinking ), one of the diamonds fell off.

I shall have the remaining diamond set in a heart, so that two hearts can sit side by side each other.

Pass the sick bag, I know!

I think that's a lovely idea and a great way to carry on the special memories

Could you not claim on house insurance? All our special stuff is covered. Yours should be too and you could get a replacement stone to bring it back to what you loved .

I was being serious about losing a stone from the ring. Not thought about going down the insurance route. However I shall look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
