In all seriousness OP, the answer to your question is perhaps because some people just don’t have any aesthetic sensibility. While this does apply to both men and women, it is possibly true that on average, women have a better aesthetic sensibility for representing themselves in a photograph. The reason for this is probably because women of a certain age have spent an awful lot more time looking at themselves in a mirror than men of a similar age. The need for make-up all but makes this a certainty. What would be interesting is whether all the above applies to the selfie generation, who’ve grown up with an awareness of how to present themselves in a photo that is far beyond people of an older generation. Anyway, just a few thoughts Xx |
