Next Door

7 in 7,

Today is day 2 for him.

I think he is an amazing human being, his love for Rob and putting himself through these challenges to raise money for MND.

Who do you find amazing for doing fantastic charity work?

I agree Kev is fantastic. A great friend to Rob and brilliant role model and sportsman.

North West UK

He was an inspirational captain, with a real will to win that took him much further than his talents, and he was a good player, but more importantly, a consummate professional and a real friend to all those team mates during his career and particularly to Rob Burrow. What he is doing to raise the profile of MND is wonderful and says a lot for him as a person. Locally there was a little boy who raised a fair bit for MND when Kevin started with his marathons a couple of years ago, the lad ran 7 miles a day for 7 days. It was in our local paper.

Dolly sent my daughter a book every month from being born to being 5 year old. So generous and a lovely pair of boobs.

Dolly Parton and anyone who doesn't do it for the publicity.

It is possible to do a good deed and not get a selfie for the Facebook likes.

My mum and dad worked in a charity shop for years and donated many raffle prizes, organised events to raise money etc. They also supported an overseas charity and the Trussell Trust.

What a wonderful human this guys is. No matter how many plaudits, awards, and headlines he generates, he will always shy away from it and tell you “I’m just helping out my mate”. What he’s putting his body through is staggering to many of us mere mortals.

All over

There are some amazing and selfless people out there who do wonderful charitable deeds. They often replace the support that goverment should be providing but failing to do so. Without such wonderful individuals and organisations, there would be even more suffeting in this world. Certainly an example to us all to do our bit whenever we can and however small it might be.

Sounds like we will have to wait until 2026 at least for him to be (rightly) knighted.

Inspiration for what he has done this past few years

ex President Jimmy Carter. He has worked with Habitats for Humanity helping build affordable homes for people all over the world (over 4,500 homes). Even in his 90s he was physically assisting in builds on such projects - quite a contrast to Trump.

Who do I find amazing? One of my neighbours … zero pics in the papers, his name isn’t on any donor boards, but I know he has quietly given millions to charity.
