How frequently do you update your pics? Does it matter to you how recent the pics are in someone else’s profile when you’re checking them out?
I always look at a profile’s pics to get an idea of who I’m talking to, and it surprises me when they have pics still on there that are a decade or so old.
At what point do pics become so old they’re out of date and irrelevant, or is it always interesting to see someone’s history ? |

Right, that’s how I feel! I can understand using old pics to demonstrate a particular sexual interest but I need something more recent to know how you look |

Do you feel your 2016 pics are still a fair representation of how you look now ? |

All of my pics have been taken in the last 4 years and I post new ones just whenever I feel in the mood to do so rather than as a regular thing and rotate them.
I don't mind if someone has older pics on their profile as long as they still add new ones now and again but I've seen profiles here with only pics from 2011 so that would be a red flag immediately |

I know. Regardless of how we look there is no point in showing old photos of you don't resemble what you look like.
Says me using monochrome because it falsely makes you look better lol. |

Yeah I agree with this. I feel if they’re not updating them there’s a reason, either they aren’t serious about meeting or they aren’t respectful of perspective partners right to informed choice. |

I've obviously aged in the face but I don't post face pics anyway, my body hasn't changed that much so yes they're still relevant |

I’ve been bitten once before by people with old pics. 
Now unless they have a clear recent pic I just delete their messages tbh OP. Same goes for action pictures on single profiles. Instant delete for me  |

Would be hard to tell what’s new and what’s not with my picture or in less I used a really old one for instance
30 November 2023 Purple skirt set was took in 2022
29 November 2023 Red leggings set was take on the 29 November 2023
You wouldn’t be able to tell there is a year off difference
I do reframe from useing really old pictures
My profile picture the now say it all why I don’t ha ha |

I don't display my old ones because of weight gain and it would be fake of me. My pictures are usually posted within a week of them being taken. But evidently my current selection should be obsolete due to a name change  |

There's no specific time limit for me if they also have recent pics up.
If you don't have more recent ones then pictures are too old when they no longer accurately represent what you look like today, as that is misrepresentation IMO. But that could be 6 months or 6 years depending on many factors.
I do see some men have a 5+ year old profile pic of them looking lean or ripped and more recent ones on the profile show a drift towards a softer or bigger dad bod. I think that's misrepresentating the truth a little too and the profile pic should be the most accurate.
If you don't look like your photos and actually want to meet - you're selling disappointment as a first impression and that's not a good look. |

Generally as and when I feel like taking them to be honest. Could be weeks, days or months apart but always try to make them accurate. I have a lot of old ones though that I should probably get rid of  |

Sometimes I have an older pic that fits a forum thread topic. Y’know, the monochrome Monday, torso Tuesday, etc … but otherwise I think I’m fairly up to date.
Yes, I have some older pics - but I also have brand-new ones. I’m not hiding anything. |

Prehaps people like a particular set of old photos or are simply lazy and don't delete them?
I don't particularly judge anyone for having old pics available so long as there are a few recent ones.

I put a disclaimer in my bio so as not to mislead as some pics are a couple of years old.
I have had a number of user names but don't carry the pics over, just start again as usual represents a change. |

Well one guy chatted to me with a photo of him as 20 years ago come on fab guys. You will be found out. In fact none of the photos he had looked genuine |
