There was a time, not long ago, when HDR photographs captured the attention of the world.
But just like many things, HDR was a passing fad.
Back then, I could spot a HDR photograph from a million miles away. Sure, HDR photographs always did and always will look good. But, the fakery stands out.
I feel the same now about AI. It sure looks good, but AI stands out by a mile.

HDR is a function to enhance an image live, as the photo is being taken.
A.I. is image creation, from other sources, to generate a new image.
The two are not the same |

HDR screens are different to HDR photographs. A HDR photograph is a photo which is "enhanced" in software to "improve" the photo. But the enhancing was very often overdone to a point where HDR photographs looked surreal at best and jarring to the eyes at worst. |

Correct, they are not the same. My point is, HDR photos were often overprocessed to the point where they looked obviously artificial, unreal and not natural. This lead to HDR photos becoming a passing fad.
Similarly, whilst A.I. images can be stunning, the vast majority of A.I. images do appear obviously fake. I do wonder if A.I. images will prove to be a passing fad. |
