Spare a thought for all those guys and girls who have lost their lives to this awful disease. Growing up in the 80/90s I can remember how this scared the life out of us on the news.
Fantastic that we have come a long way since and it’s no longer a death sentence
However are you aware of your status?
Never think it won’t happen to you, and remember it’s not only HIV that needs testing for..

My heart goes out to the communities it ripped and rips through, and the ongoing trauma that came from the callous disregard that authorities applied to communities they considered less than. (And the inadvertent victims of "oh, it'll only happen to the undesirables" who didn't fall into those stigmatised groups) |
