My first email of the day. I could not hold my excitement as it usually says 'you won a lucky dip'. Super excited I log into my account and there was nothing there. I was nearly devastated when I then realise thete was a message I had not read. And there it was, the news all of us hope to hear. You have won ..... £30. Having waited for nearly 30 years for this, I now don't know what to do and how to spend it all wisely. You hear stories about how lottery winners squander their winnings and I don't want to be one of them. So suggestions please on how to deal with such fortune bestowed on me. Thank you. |

I suggest that you call a private banker first. Hoare’s if you’re conservative or UBS if you want more diversified savings and investment for example. They’ll help you set suitable accounts for your lifestyle change.
Lottery winnings aren’t taxable as it’s exempt from capital gains but the interest you gain from it will be. Therefore, a good tax accountant is your next call. I believe your banker can help recommend one to you and any further steps you need to take.
I hope you’ll enjoy your winnings.

Wow. Life changing! Well done!
Don't tell the neighbours, such sums can bring out greed unfortunately. Probably not safe to keep this amount at home either.
Must be an amazing feeling to see the number on your account in disbelief!
Why not bring this to a next bigger social and share amongst friends?

My late step-dad worked with someone who won a million pounds on the lotto (this was a good few years back). I don’t think he gave up work either!
No advice, but just to show it can happen to anyone *insert dramatic music* |

Well done boss! Now you're on the winning line, I would say speculate to accumulate and spend the whole lot on more tickets.
Either that or treat yourself to a cake, a few beers, and a takeaway |

That's certainly the wiser option my man. I used to like a wee gamble quite a few years back and might have chose the first option I suggested. Nowadays though, I would go for option number 2...though I'd replace the beers with coffee or summit
Anyways, well done again bud |

"Well done. You could always think about buying a house with it. Just think. Thats about all"
Thanks but I don'y want to upset the locals with buying second homes. I might just rent something in Cornwall for 10 minutes |
