Omid Scobie names royal racists

Endgame printed in Holland, which is a country where people were clogs and live tulips, names two high level royal racists.

The author claims that it was a translation error. How can this be if they weren’t names in the books printed in English?

Is this just a publicity stunt to sell more books, at the royals expense?

It’s all over the news.

I read online that it was Charles who was named.

To be fair I don't like Omid. He has a chip on his shoulder.

I knew that…

I tend to agree, they need more publicity for the book.

Probably best not to name names.

Do you think that naming them was an actual accident in the Dutch version of the book?

I’m not sure to be honest.

Who was named and to be fair I am mixed race, being asked what part of what parent will a child inherit is only racist if your an idiot. It's like saying do you think he will have your eyes or hers. The queen married a Greek remember when back in the day that was about as common as marrying an alien. You can make anything about race if you want to. But allowing one race of people to say one thing and not allowing another race to say the same thing is a form of verbal apartheid. If one race can say something then the other race should be able to otherwise if literally is the verbal definition of one rule for one race another for another. So if you have a ginger and someone with dark hair is it not ok to say do you think the baby will have your freckles? But not do you think the child may have some of your complexion?

It would seem unlikely that it’s an accident. I’m sure it’s intentional for a bit of additional exposure for the book.

I think whether it’s racist or not depends on context and what the actual question was? It’s irrelevant what the skin colour is but I do see how it would be a change for Royal watchers to see some diversity in the royal family. Sad really.

I think it's a very clever publicity stunt. Or they have terrible translation teams.

I'd assume a name is the same in any language.

Plus in your family don't you have someone old who says things that some snowflakes hate? Like isn't she sweet. Jesus, also to get into Sandhurst you need pretty good results and of them very few would then go on to be a helicopter pilot. They also rarely let people kill overly unless they are truly black ops sas or paras. And even then there is a huge risk of them liking it. I think genuinly they let harry into a flight simulator and his own mind did the rest. He not brains of Britain, he like all our royals are born of hundreds of years of inter family mating, and his mum was hardly brains of Britain.

So when combined with a narcissist who has a huge chip on the shoulder I would not take what they say literally. Even pleasant conversation is probably used against people later.

Plus he is ginger and I believe that the great Oracle of knowledge that is south park told us, they have no soul.

But ladies who are red heads I would take your amazing high libidos over a soul anyday, souls are overrated

I bet you they asked what kind of skin type the baby will have. It's a pretty standard thing to ask of any two people who come together share DNA and then produce a baby. Oh he has your nose, oh he has his dad's eyes. So your telling me it's now racist to say oh do you think he will have some of your complexion if the person you'd saying it to is mixed race? Again it's insane, everyone does this, genetics are shared and it's typical to ask which features do you think the baby will have. Charles is probably hopeful Harry's gingerness is removed as we know there are no gingers in the royal bloodline so harry, genetically should not be ginger if he comes from the DNA of his father and the DNA of his mother. So rather than being horrified of having a baby that's no ginger like his dad they probably want them not to be. Why is Harry ginger by the way?

recessive genes yes, but we are not like cats. There are traits and there are complete throw backs, with receive genes you tend to get a very low version like a sprinkling of ginger in a beard. Just because you have a long ago African relative means that it would be almost impossible for two very white looking people to suddenly have a black baby. Harry's gingerness is not recessive and if it is it's a one in a trillion type of situation. It's more like one of the partners was full on ginger. How many centuries ago did the royals last have a ginger in the family ? Harry is full on ginger like natural born ging, no sprinkling in the beard and a few more freckles, he is like Bonnie Scotsman porridge selling, ron weasly ging

It's a little-known fact that all three of Princess Diana's siblings — Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Charles, 9th Earl Spencer — have naturally red hair.

Maybe, it seems that Ms Markle will do anything to get her name in the media, even if it’s picking fights with her children’s grand parents or family.

Mr Scobie obviously got the info from her. He is just her mouthpiece after all.

I think it's probably legal/libel laws. Different rules in different territories. I imagine there's the wealthy pricks' traditional favourite tool; the superinjunction. The UK press can not even report that there is a superinjunction preventing them from reporting.

I am not really that bought into the who's the daddy. I am more stating that asking if you think the child may be able to tan due to having a higher level of melanin in the gene pool in my opinion is normal pre baby questions as are what hair colour do you think it will have. It's hardly like she found a kkk membership card with a picture of Charles as a white knight doing a lynching. If you block cross race families from having normal conversations for fear of causing offense is more likely to breed racism and than being able to discuss the normal fusion of genese without someone bringing up the race card to get clicks on a pathetic life story of a over paid over privileged "victim". Man the hell up. Bringing the race card up to often lowers the power of people who genuinly are affected by true racism.

This although the Spencers - Diana's family do have red hair running through the family. Her sister that dated Charles before was ginger. They then broke up and diana sadly married him. So there is ginger in the Spencer bloodline.

I think she had James Hewitt running right through her - several times. I don’t think he came on her tits either.

They say they met a few years after Harry was born. That must’ve been an awkward presentation “aren’t you that bird I shagged a few years ago?”.

It looks like a cynical PR stunt to me, aimed at getting the media frothing and book sales up. Frankly the entire topic had gotten stale, so they desperately needed a hand grenade to re-kindle interest. The 'translation error' sounds implausible, and was most likely a plant.

'Racism' is word which needs to be retired from the English language unless it becomes acknowledged that white people can and do indeed suffer from it too, as we have seen relentlessly for years now.

To be honest we all knew it, I mean being German and Greek our royal family are very very British and backward in their ways. With visits all over the world they never mix with races of other nations. They clearly only have it in for harry and megan because she is tanned, nothing to do with completely removing the rules of privacy the family needs to stick to. And as we all know there has never been a doctor or anyone in the royal family who at any time has been allowed to be weak so of course all though they have Harley street doctors and mental health professionals on the payroll this is only for show, ans defiantly would be denied to someone based on colour. The only way to gain acceptance from this bunch of backwards English royalty is to point out Everytime one person's perception is hurt and make money from it. I just wish they would be more accepting of people of colour.

"Does anyone actually care a flying monkeys if the Royals are racist? "

The way I see it, discriminating against people because they're of a particular race, is no worse than giving certain demographics a green light to act like twats because of their race.

Charles was wearing a tie covered in Greek flags at the climate conference. Some are saying it's a tribute to his father who was actually from Greece or a subtle show of support for the return of Elgin's Marbles. It may of been a tie that once belonged to his father. We may never know.

Anyone read the Dutch version and actually seen the names in print? You would have thought that there would at least be a picture of the page where the offence is said to have been printed. And in these days of "likes" needed by people with a rampant, insatiable appetite for attention I'm surprised the proof isn't all over social media.

Likely this is just a publicity stunt to sell more books at Xmas.

look, take race out of it, the difference between the white working class and the rich the people with disabilities and the normals, catholics and Protestants,Irish vs English the list could go on. Race is one issue but anyone with an ability to have compassion and not an obsessive view in themselves (or their colour) can see a whole host of horrible history and it was pretty colour blind. If your so horrified by what went on take a look at Africa today and try and help there as worse things are happening today their that need attention that would help the world more effectively thank complaining about the past. genuinly do you think that racism is worse than any other form of inequality, and do you think there is not any black on white racism? What is the make up of the government in South Africa for example is there a far representation of each race of the country today? What's the treatment of different people in Africa say someone from Nigeria in botswana? Maybe look and fight inequality than become a victim. History is history let's just say there are fights you could be helping that will help people today rather than focus on the past, or get upset by perceived infractions.

I would say you need to take a look at yourself and get some perspective. There is no attempted decline of your country. Do you give more back to the country then you take? Yes then good, are you able to see compassion? Yes or no if yes then good. Get some perspective, there is no conspiracy. But there is a use of the race card that the likes of opera Winfrey is helping to be used to get clicks. Simply it's an over reaction to what really is not a racist comment. Commenting on how brown a baby will be when one parent is browner than the other is a normal thing to say.

But not do you think the child may have some of your complexion?"

Couldn't agree more.

absolutely modern life has changed the fabric of reality that was a corner stone for centuries .

The decline of family unit and most people being Christian belief as the directive. Fast forward to 80s and boom the doors opened to where we are now. A free for all in society.

I'd agree with this, I have my reservations about religion but do see it's value in unifying a people to a common cause, and without it people will inevitably drift apart as life is no longer about serving a higher calling/greater good, but simply about self gratification.

I absolutely get your point. However:

That's a problem for "the church" not "religion" because, surprise surprise, you don't need to attend church to have a relationship with god. In fact, "organised" religion is only organised to keep people submissive and part them from their money...plus the Catholic sect of Christianity enabled abusers to flourish.

If ever there was a reason to separate religion from the church, catholicism is it.

That'd be a lovely sentiment if all people's felt that way - they don't.

And one of our greatest errors we make in the West is the belief that our way of thinking is universal across the world, when as we're increasingly seeing in events which have played out over these past years, tribalism and the desire to dominate and conquer is as strong as ever.

Religion was used as a cause in the past...mostly by zealous idiotic rulers who fancied a land or power grab in another part of the world.

The people who were told they had to fight, in all likleyhood, probably didn't want to. I know I wouldn't want to fight in a war that only made life better for the bloke at the top.

I see wars started and/or fought using "religion" as being about everything else but religion...and only using religion as a mask to hide the true purpose.

I think you will find there are. For reasons of definition there are races to ignore this would be stupid. For example the nhs has to find out the racial make up of a baby. Not to be racist but because dependant on ancestry you are more likely to get some illnesses than another. To be blind to it would mean your can't plan for it. But one race is no better than the other. But for example skin cancer is more likely to happen in one race than another. You could maybe re term the name race and call it something else but it is a definition and to say we are all the same is simply not true as years of living in different parts of the world has made the human race different. For example skin cancer is far higher in Australia than in a similarly hot country in Africa, why not because the sun is any different.

Semantics. And/or genetics.

Not race.

Different diseases have higher incidences for different skin colours. That's obviously true.

Still all members of the human race though, despite the skin colour, the genetic disposition to suffer from different diseases, the colour of hair or eyes etc etc.

Beyond absolutely everything, and regardless of absolutely everything, we are all members of the human race.

" fucking hilarious thread

Who was the person named though?

Which bit made you laugh the most?

It was king. Charles & Kate."

Charles and Kate. That is so unsurprising if true.

There’s so much that made me laugh not fair to single out individual comments.

East London

I was eating in Stratford today and 4 women were having a discussion about black skin colour.

Some bloke had gone darker and another had the same skin colour as one of the women, apparently.

I didn't realise skin colour was so interesting to black people.

Oh wow. Who could have thought that the british royals are racist lmao

This whole Meghan and Harry thing is quite the best seller that keeps on giving.

Can I ask you something: Why do you care about the private lives of the upper class?

"

indeed Philip the most British of all our monarchs. To be fair let's me clear someone asked if part of one person's DNA will be past onto their offspring. Is this racism ?

It can be. Depends on intent.

"Will the baby be black?"

Or

"Will the baby be black?" will the baby be ginger? Will the baby be blond also what if a black person said would the baby be black if you say that's not racist. Then you are creating one rule for one race and one for another which is the definition of apartheid "

What on earth are you on about? You're just making things up that you think I said.

"Apparently, Piers Morgan has named the two as Cathrine & King Charles.

I think someone doesn't understand the genetics of recessive genes. "

There are very few characteristics that are controlled by single genes, so the concepts of dominance and recessiveness are rarely definitive. Adam Rutherford has written some excellent books on inheritance if you are interested.

It’s not racist to speculate on the appearance of a mixed race child.

I’m Heinz 57 and the mum is a fair Celt. We spent most of the pregnancy debating it.

As it happens our kids took my colouring, but my daughter’s second child is as fair as granny.

Load of bollocks

Just reading the daily fail, and there is an article that suggests that Megan may be dropped by her Hollywood talent agency over the naming of the royals.

It seems that she may have over stepped the mark and upset the Hollywood luvvies.

Wondering about a baby’s colour etc is not being racist.

I’m coloured and since childhood I remember adults discussing with excitement how the baby will look.

It's the motivation for asking which dictates whether its a racist act or not. Obviously, we're not privy to that level of information.

If that's true it's disgusting. Proof of the bullying and gaslighting AT Harry and Meghan.

People have done far worse. They just want to live their lives.

It's sick.

Rather than complaining, make a will. Leave it to anyone or to the cat/dog etc.

Takes a few minutes. There are ready made forms available too.

"Endgame printed in Holland, which is a country where people were clogs and live tulips, names two high level royal racists.

The author claims that it was a translation error. How can this be if they weren’t names in the books printed in English?

Is this just a publicity stunt to sell more books, at the royals expense?

It’s all over the news.

Poor old Harry has no say anyway, his narcissistic wife sees to that.

She’s a professional victim, earning from her pity play.

My opinion is she has taken a wrecking ball to the family.

Before marriage, Harry was so popular. The two brothers used to party together.

Then comes the tsunami.

I began feeling sorry for Harry, with all his personal background history.

But as they began to vent in public, Oprah Winfrey etc, I gave up.

Family Guy cartoon summed it up well.

Learnt a new phrase here “pity play”.

Though I doubt anyone has pity left.

The fall out of playing the “race card” affects the race card player’s race.

People now wonder if you got in on merit or by playing the race card.

Your only doing disservice to your own race.

I just think it’s absolutely hilarious that a mixed race woman joins the family and exactly what you predict would happen in the family and in the media and with the public seems to have happened.

And people that this family literally doesn’t give two shits about at on every corner of the internet defending their right and reason to hate a complete stranger (even after she said it almost led her to unalive).

Have some shame
