Do you feel your age?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Brain has a habit of writing cheques the body can’t always cash.
But generally don’t feel like we behave like a couple of forty somethings and don’t have the world view that so many just a few years older than us seem to have.
Maybe because we choose to socialise with people our age and younger, maybe because we refuse to be locked in to our decades when it comes to music, film, comedy etc. |

I've never felt my age until the last couple of years.
I've had more adventures in the last 12 years than in the rest of my life but really had the stuffing knocked out of me since 2021 and don't have the energy or motivation to even do the simple things.
When I push myself I can still do the things I want but I pay for it after. |

One thing I really don't like (a lot of people will disagree with me on this) is older people behaving immaturely in a bid to appear young. I'm thinking of the time we went to dinner with colleagues and the men in their fifties found it hilarious to flick food at each other |

Mentally I do not and doubt I ever will. Of course the telltale signs that I'm ageing are there, but if I keep myself active in body and mind then I will continue to enjoy my life till its time to hang up my cock ring. |

My back is 60 some days.
My package is 30.
Sometimes feel like a teenager, when my left arm hurts a lot.
My mental age goes down to 25, when I'm horny.
I look my age (+/-2), unless I'm clean shaven.
Then I look like a kid with that ageing disease.
Usually leave at least a goatee and try to walk like a man.
"Looks like a man, walks like a man, so definitely not a duck." |

I dont.. age is a number...
So many people dont look their age and dont feel it
However you have people that are young and feel/look much older.
I suppose it depends how person look after their body and mind |

I’m 41, but in my mind I’m still 20 years old.
When I came make it through a day with only two hours of sleep, like I did in my 20s, my body does a very good job reminding me I’m actually 41.
At least being chatted up by 20-30 year olds who think I’m in their age range helps me believe what my mind thinks, some days. |

"I dont. I am 41 and I feel like I am still 15, peter pan forever "
Ooh lucky you xxx
I had a seriously bad car accident about twenty years ago. One of those ones where when the police arrived they thought I was going to be a mushed up mess that would need to be poured out of the wreckage.
They patched me back together and I regained a level of my previous fitness.
Now though, twenty years on my very bent skeleton is starting to give me serious grief!
Mentally I feel like a kid still ( nothing to do with any brain damage I may have sustained in the crash )
But physically … crumbs ! |

Slightly more so recently as I head into a collision course with the big 40 in a few weeks time. 40 to me seems like a bit of a milestone into the start of middle aged part of life.
I've always felt since my 20s not much time had passed. However I watched Gremlins with my kids a few weeks ago (a film I enjoyed in my childhood). To me it seems film that's not that old because it wasn't that long ago (in my mind). But I remember noticing a distinct lack of computers and electronics in the bank and then everywhere else. I look it up and found out it was released in 1984. Which makes it nearly 40 years old . In my head 40 year old films are old black and white cowboy movies my grandad would watch. Turns out I'm the Grandad now.

I feel physically a bit older. Mentally I mostly feel a bit older but I’m learning to embrace the 20s and not be so boring when I get the chance to step away from parenthood etc |

In my head I’m in my 20’s.
My body isn’t bad, I’m still active and enjoy doing sports.
I’m definitely having more sex now than I have in my life previously.
I’m a perfect balance now - I’m old enough to be wise and young enough to not act my age

Not at all. I literally go on 2 weeks long hikes, carrying 20kg and wild camping. If anything, I feel better now than I did when I was 30.
Plus now I have the added bonus of age and experience..
The old adage that youth is wasted on the youth is absolutely spot on. |

"I don't know what my age is supposed to feel like . I'm just me.
Inside we're all more or less the same as we were at 10, 20,30 we just learn to hide fears and insecurities better." That is good and you are right there, we would be the same as we would be at those ages and learn those things as well |

I do not feel my age. Been told recently that do not look anywhere near my age. This when out with female family friend , was chatting with a female she knew. The female was on first guess was 15 years out . Second guess 10. I showed female my driving licence .
I suppose just lucky at present that do not need any medication etc . ???????? |

I’m 47, don’t look it and tend to pull from teen to mid twenties… never go online dating or do much social media - but I like this site for the genuine diamonds you meet once in a while. Never going to be lying about my age online just to get matches or whatever. Stay young at heart and good things tend to happen |

I can't say that I feel any different mentally or physically than I did thirty years ago, and after attending a funeral last week in my old home town with old school acquaintances present, I obviously don't look my age either when I saw how some had let themselves go. |

I still mentally think I’m late 30’s early 40’s but the birth certificate says I’m 62…..
Still got plenty of energy to dance the night away…
I don’t look it or act it which is why I prefer younger men if I’m honest ….. |

Not sure what 43 should feel like but I would say yes I do feel my age.
I still do things I did in my 20's though. Maybe not at the same level but I don't expect to so yes I feel my age but also love my mind more at this point. |

Against all the odds I have made it into my 80s and yes I am starting to feel my age.
The big problem is the mind is egging me on to take on challenges,It is fully aware that the body has no chance of fulfilling them which is very frustrating.
At least I have the Forums to provide some entertainment.

I feel quite a bit younger than my actual age nowadays (and yes, it is the same as my fabs age) - putting lots more in in the way of physical exercise and doing lots of DIY work helps.
And I've always been told I look a lot younger. I have siblings a couple of years each side of me and I can safely say I got their share of the young looks gene!

I have plenty of energy, I still feel as sharp of mind as ever, with the added maturity that comes with age, and some days I feel like my body is still in its 20's. Some days though I feel like my body is talking to me like that guy from The Green Mile: "I'm tired boss" |

They say you're only as old as the person you feel.... that's why I go for younger people ... on a side note I do feel my age today because of a crick I'm my neck otherwise I still feel like I'm in my 30s not the 45 I actually am |

I’m doing ok. The only time my body reminds me of how old I am is at the end of a night shift. However, colleagues half my age struggle as well so I won’t be too hard on myself |
