Your vice? The thing you spend a few quid on here and there? Coffees? Cakes? Clothes?
Mines audiobooks. I roughly added up how much I’d spent on audible in the last 4 years and it was almost £2k!
Do you think you could do a sunak and give it up, save your pennies and suddenly have enough for a deposit on a house? |

Books & I hate it!
I do not like spending on myself but I've got a thing for collectable books.
They look so pretty though and provide a great distraction to escape into a world of a book.
The buyers guilt though

To be fair FC, that's less than £1.50 a day.
For something you obviously love.

Definitely a keeper. I've still got the majority of my uni texts. Still got books from my childhood. I try and donate some to charity shops and then for some strange reason I end up with more than I've donated. It's odd that. |

I’ve had to dig in and really send my spending to zero on stuff I don’t need. *true story.
But, little treats of coffees slip through.
My spending on coats was something I never thought twice about, but that’s always laughable how many I acquired.

No there aren’t! Get yourself some Meindl “Burma” if you can the old fashioned ones without the Goretex lining in them.. they are brilliant. Ok they are not a five season mountain boot, for that go for the Bhutan’s ( but quite frankly if you are going for seriously high stuff there are more specialised and probably better ones to go for.
My only way left to go now is to go for hand made boots… and I can’t afford that |

Oh I think I still have some very early “Fighting Arts” magazines from the early 80’s. I might be prepared to sell at a very reasonable price!
I might have some very rare Terry O’Neil stuff as well. I did some training with him many, many years ago but I would have to go ratching around at my parents house to find it. |

I can’t afford really expensive Patek Phillips and the like, so I just search around on eBay for nice looking watches with a decent movement and get them as cheap as I can.
I have bought some right old crocks of sh!t doing that though and there are so many watches that claim to be one thing and when you get them and open them up, they are a load of rubbish |

Oh I always found Scarpas too narrow. They are well made though. I believe their high altitude boots are very good, but I bought a pair of leather meindl’s that will take a crampon and I have used them for winter stuff and high stuff.
