But think that you are?

I’m finally having a retainer fitted on my bottom teeth on Friday. I’ve been putting it off for about 40 years

Hot or not ?

What have you put off and now think you’re maybe too old to do (but aren’t )

Like you op, I wish I’d have had braces when I was younger. Too conscious of kids in school saying something.

You’re never too old to go down a water slide.

I asked about that, she says it will take longer because they come in and out. So I’m going to the full metal look., without shiny coloured stones of course….. already had some guy offered to jiz on it for me. Nice!

Yay! And ice skating

It’s funny isn’t it, I was exactly the same. Now here everyone has them, all ages, like a fashion accessory. The designs are so bling now , even personalised with letters.

Love a water slide

I always wanted to try kite surfing. I don’t think that I’m too old for it now, but I certainly feel more cautious (scared haha), but I still hope to give it a go next year. But in answer to the question, I think that you are never too old to have one too many with your friends and go dancing!

Yes have done for years. A decent down-mat like thermorest or Exped, Rab 4-seasons bag and single hoop Alpkit Bivi , I’ve wild-camped on mountain summits at minus 16 degrees and been toasty warm with that kit.

Absolutely done my part, too. Arctic circle -20 was my toughest.

Most important kit is the matt you lay on. Cold floor sucks the warmth more out of you than you could lose with a bad sleeping back.

Hot water bottle, absolutely essential. Sleeping bag needs to be the right size, and don't trust the rating. The rating is "survival" not "comfortable". Pro tip: You can layer sleeping bags, too. I always did. Helps a great lot.

Good approach also is to build a fire with a reflector and before you go to bed, bury the coals a few cm in the earth, will keep you warm and toasty all night. If the ground is frozen, you got to thaw it out with a fire on top of it first.

And pro-pro tip: Get one of those adhesive body warmers. They help you stay warm soooooooo much. It's unbelievable. Just don't put them directly on your skin, rookie mistake.
