We want to build a connection - gets rid of chancers and we find out how keen people are if they are prepared to chat and chat.
If we’re away then maybe a lucky dip now and again but there’s nothing better than building the heat up.

A lot more than a few days for me.
I've only ever had one spontaneous meet after chatting the day before and I'm not in a hurry to repeat it.
When I am actually meeting I will chat for weeks and sometimes months before meeting for a social and even then nothing is guaranteed.

I don't entertain spontaneous meets.
My chats are protracted over days, typically weeks and months before I meet someone for a social, before anything else is on the agenda.
I have been chatting to someone since 2022 and we are planning to meet in the new year. That, however, is the exception rather than the rule. |

Do I already like them?
I take a long time to get to know and like someone, so it’s probably planned. But if I’m planning months away, it’s probably going to fizzle out with someone new.
A spontaneous’ hey what are you up to’ would be great fun with someone I already know, not so much with someone new.
So, my top tip. Get to know me, I’m more likely to say yes to both planned and meet now!! |
