Any video you recommend where a singer or group just nail it live maybe better than the recorded version.

Standout that most people would know is Queen at Live Aid, others for me are …

David Bowie, Heroes at the Berlin Wall.

Carly Simon, Nobody does it Better at Marthas Vineyard

Cilla Black, Anyone who had a Heart (not sure where)

Petula Clark, Downtown live on the Dean Martin Show.

All on YouTube

Any other recommendations?

If you can find Bad wolves covering Zombie at Wembley Arena in Jan 2020, that was pretty damn special

Somewhere else

Ren, Money Game 3.

Fantastic piece of work. Absolutely brilliant. (Disclaimer: he is my favourite artist right now, so I’m totally biased.)

John Mayer - Like A Rolling Stone live on the Howard Stern show.

The story goes that he just turned up and played with a group of musicians he'd never even met before and they played it without any rehearsals.

Shawn Lane & Paul Gilbert- Let It Be live at the Musicians Institute. Shawn's improvised guitar solo is the stuff dreams are made of, shame the recording is so rough.

Andy Timmons - Electric Gypsy. Filmed in a club on a mobile phone and absolutely incredible.

"The Who Live at Leeds"

*Live sounds like Jive.

The Who don't live in Leeds. No one lives in Leeds do they?
