How often do you go out?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Discussion this morning with jools. we seem to have turned into hermits hardly go out and find it difficult to get any enthusiasm to be around actual people.
Not sure if it's a financial thing or the fact that so many pub's in our area are soulless hole's either void of atmosphere or full of sniffed up assholes acting like it's their own personal pub.
Restaurants don't fair better with most interested in fast turnaround and little in the way of "ambience" so the sofa usually wins

We're pretty much the same, never go out unless it's a Saturday night, which is usually spent in a club.
It's combination of Mrs M working silly hours monday to Thursday, me being tired when home from work and usually in bed at 20:30, and kids, theyre just below the age where they could be left at home, until then its babysitters. |

I am the same, going out is a rarity because I just can't be arsed.
If I do go out it's a meal out or cinema and never out late. I can't think of anything worse than sitting in an over crowded over priced pub.
Next meal out is for my sons 30'th Birthday in a few weeks and won't involve alcohol

I haven’t been ‘out’ for many many years. The job I did denied me any social life, and social circle. I’m no good at creating a new one, so I live fairly reclusively. |

We occasionally pop round our local pub on a weekday evening just for a single drink, kinda break's the week up, but we avoid it at the weekend very different crowd.
Cinema decent film's seem few and far between.
Coffee shops, not many open in the evening and then who wants to sit in a Costa on a Saturday night?

I play in a couple of bands, so I go out to pubs quite often... but it's basically working, so not quite the same.

If I’m working away for work then I’m out almost every night with one group of colleagues or another, for a meal or drinks or both. But when home in the UK I generally can’t be arsed with it |

I play in a team game, fortunately the venue for said games is pubs and social clubs, we play most weeks on a weekday during the autumn to spring period.
The emphasis is on the social not the game but we do like to win. |

"We frequently go out in the day but rarely at night any more. To be honest neither of us really want to. "
Well this is exactly what we said, can't be arsed.
By the time we get home cook tea eat it , clean up prep lunches and clothes for next day bathe or shower it's usually about 9/9:30 so bedtime |

My diary tends to swing both ways, either nothing planned or I've got several things on and am looking forward to a night in!
I go to various comedy shows, or talks, so last night for example was John McGuinnes and Jamie whitham ( although Neil McKenzie had to stand in)
Sunday I'm off to see another Drag show
Next weekend catch up with friends and nothing else which I'm looking forward to

I love getting out. I'll do varied outings, a day out in London, socialising with friends. I do outings with my kids which are always great, a recent one to Camden with them was brilliant. I'm not a drinker so pubs is probably the least chosen place. Restaurants is a yes though. But I'll also book a massage too and do that just to get out of the four walls.
I do tend to hide indoors more in the really cold weather though. |

I rarely go anywhere on my own these days. There is usually a dog, child or my mother in tow. If I do, it’s usually in the daytime.
And I don’t mind a bit. I’ve had my clubbing/pub days, and I don’t miss the hangovers! |

Good question. It takes a real effort to go out Monday to Friday and usually home and the telly win. Plans for date night often fall through due to a long week. The hardest part seems to be getting out. One of the pleasures of living in London is that there is so much to see and do when we actually do go out |

Out out? Hardly ever. We have no childcare beyond after school club. Any time we eat out or whatever, it's usually with a child in tow. Cinema will be to watch kids films. We have little social life outside of the banter at work and what I get from going to the gym once a week. |

The last time I went out was about 6 weeks ago. Female friend had not very good week and messaged me late in evening . To come to my house just to go out for few hours . Ended up going into town and arrived back home at 4am.
Before that would be before covid . |

We don't go out often, we may stop off at a nice pub restaurant sometimes, though that's more a case of not cooking than the aim to go out.
Mrs goes out more often than Mr, she can enjoy a night out with friends, though even then she turns down more than she accepts. |

I only leave the house once a week to go shopping. Since I've not been able to walk without a frame it's difficult.
I've been out for lunch a couple of times and I will be going out in the evening one night over christmas.
Apart from that people come here |

I try and get out of the house every day but usually by myself. I do try and meet friends for lunch now and then and do a monthly pub quiz.
I have one regular Friday lunch meet which has been going on for years.
I used to be lot more sociable on the kink scene but not at the moment |
