Reports from Aberdeen which is a gailec word for the town at the mouth of the River Deen show some teachers in a poor light. Some teachers were using this cryptonised secret site to send messages about some primary school pupils and their parents. Is this a storm in a teacup or ride.
Should they send these teachers on a course or sack the buggers It's all over the news |

As long as nothing illegal or unduly abusive, I do think it is unreasonable to treat WhatsApp as public opinion.
Sometimes there is criminal evidence on WA messages which is fair game. However, letting off steam and having a moan should be a slap on the wrists and no more.

Leave the teachers alone, have you seen some of the cretins they have to try and teach? No parental guidance, no discipline, teachers powerless to do anything,teachers have to let off steam somewhere

A venting of frustration toward others that can sympathise with you, regardless of what is said is far better than keeping it bottled up and potentially allowing it to explode at the wrong time and place.
People talk shit about people they have interacted with. It's what they do.
Christ, the amount of people I've said shit about with regards to work and the difficulty they bring with them will likely be far worse than what these teachers have said. |

Yep. One golden rule in any job is to never put anything about another person in writing unless you'd be happy for them to see if or it's in their best interests |

Yes, in terms of them being caught etc but who actually cares? Are they really doing something and saying something we didn't already know they said? Stuff we say ourselves when frustrated and annoyed by others.
I can guarantee the majority of people regardless of their job will be doing the exact same things, very few (my god so very few) people will be able to claim moral high ground on this one. |

It really depends what's being said.
I have never worked with anyone who hasn't made at least one derogatory remark about another colleague. I include myself in that. |
