Hey folks, I’ve got an award evening go to next week. I have a dark charcoal suit. Can anyone help or make a few suggestions with a colour combo of waist coat and shirt to go with it.

Assuming it's not a black tie event then I suggest a pristine white shirt — as formulaic as that sounds it's the perfect contrast to the dark grey. Because it's a formal event go for French Cuffs.

I agree with Nero. White. Could add pretty much any tie then too, but I'd always keep it classic.

I'm in in the minority but I don't like waistcoats, but guess it depends what kind of look you are going for?
