Tonight I made chicken tikka, rice, onion bhajis, vegetable samosas, chutney & mint yogurt dip & naan.
Last week it was massamam with rice & vegetable pancake rolls.
I love curry night . I always do way too much food though
If I go out for curry - it’s most likely Thai and I’ll go for beef rendang or weeping tiger |

A good saag aloo, palak paneer, a nice black dhal or moong dhal but South Indian way with curry leaves and mustard seeds.. chole and poori, amritsari fish, tandoori chicken or a good butter chicken. Maybe paneer paratha too.. or tandoori roti.
And rasmalai for dessert. Or warm gulab jamun with ice cream.

I've come back round to curries recently having grown up eating them and gone off it.
My mum makes an amazing matar paneer, chick pea curry with bhatura, keema, and tandoori chicken |

"Steph.
But I also make a banging curry.
I make a chickpea and plantain curry and it’s banging. There’s even a fabber that can vouch for me on that. I am not skilled making other curry though. "
That sounds super yummy, love plantain!
Are you bringing some to the picnic?

" Chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna, prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan and 9 poppadoms.
Oh that sounds nice. Shall we put it in the middle and share? "
No! |

I just like a medium hot chicken curry with al-danté white onions, garlic & red peppers with basmati rice.... sometimes maybe a few red chillies too & al-danté carrots but sometimes less is more....
I'd love one now |

Prefer Indian to Thai; usually try ones with names I haven't seen before plus South Indian dishes which I'm working my way through at the moment in our new South Indian restaurant, and always have a paratha or similar rather than rice. |

I like it fucking hot.
Vindaloo (pork, no potatoes) is a classic.
A Phall made with fresh chillies and NOT something that has just had a load of chilli powder chucked in will do nicely.
On the milder side a tandoori mixed grill and chilli paneer side is hard to beat. And samosas...gotta be filled with lamb keema though because the "veggie" potato ones aren't enough for a carnivore like myself.
Ohhh...I'm bloody salivating now. I don't do my weekly curry night until tomorrow which is also the first night of the week I also drink. Thursday = curry & beer night! |

I used to make curries for my breakfast in work, when I started at 4am. Phal curry paste, then add some really chili sauce. |
