My constant tinnitus is raging at the moment due to a lingering virus.

It's permanent.. And I notice how withdrawn it can make me feel, separate and introspective and neurologically exhausted.

It affects my plans and life course often .. I suddenly have to go small. It's invisible from the outside.

What do you experience that is invisible to others, but affects your life and plans?

Chronic pain and fatigue. I've had a big day out today, not long after one on Saturday. So I will barely be leaving the house for the next week.

I've made zero plans because I know I won't be capable of even a conversation.

I used to get Tinnitus badly but I found doing neck exercises gradually it faded away

Besides that hidden pain and sorrow I hide it well with my fake smile

Ouch! How debilitating for you

Have you tried low level white noise played through headphones?

I have a heart condition, I tire easily when it flares and need to sleep. Meaning nights out end early

I have severe osteoarthritis in my hip which means I can no longer walk without crutches. I’ve barely left my house this year and will never attempt to go anywhere on a bad day. Thankfully the end is in sight but the last few years have been mentally tough.

Autism. It's not completely invisible; a few people have spotted it.

But it's tough experiencing the world differently from everyone else while simultaneously "not being a victim about it."

I’ve lived with Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome for over 20 years. If I have a period of regular flare ups it can really shred my confidence and make me not want to leave home.

Tinnitus as well.

Just recently it’s got worse and has appeared more in my right ear that’s usually been ok.

High pitch constant tone.

I have a non malignant blood cancer and I get really bad joint pain in the weirdest of areas, like it can be in my knuckles or shoulders for instance and the tiredness can wipe me out.

Currently waiting for an op to remove my entire reproductive organs as they keep trying to kill me.

Constant aneamia due to it. So constantly tired but can't sleep. Ridiculous amounts of hormones to take to ensure I dont start heamoraging again, which for some reason are making me super sensitive and easily hurt/upset and cry.

Oh and it makes my boobs ache randonly, wearing a bra has reduced me to tears before.

All fun and games.

Sorry to hear of other peoples issues too

20 years is a long time to be dealing with that mate, Had colitis from age 14 to 29 till was forced into surgery to remove large intestine (pre cancerous cells showed up on yearly biopsy) after I wish I’d done it sooner a lot but they could never guarantee it was able to be reversed and not stuck with a bag So refused the surgery for many years

Tinnitus again. Bloody horrible. But after 30 years or so I've gradually got used to it and mostly manage to ignore it. Until anything happens to make me remember it, when it instantly comes back to the fore.

Chronic pain and fatigue, it can really suck when it flares up.

I'm actually not well on top if it at the moment which has made it much harder to cope with.

Illness of any kind makes people withdraw, i guess its because you don't feel your best, i don't get ill very often but i try to stay away from people when i do, to have something permanently wrong must be a real nightmare.

Think I applied enough pressure on my upper half so air flew through. It all about posture an imbalance can create sudden changes hence tintinous as air does pass via the ear

Thanks mwah xX

That sounds awful. I had chronic pain in my lower back, when younger. Even when numbed up, painkillers or nerve root blocks it just robs you of living your best life.

I imagine tinitus , anxiety , depression is similar, you exert so much energy, to cope with it, there’s not much left for things like creativity, adventure , coping isn’t truly living

Horniness.

Also I heard (hehe) that white noise helps with tinnitus. Try to listen to videos with pure white noise from youtube or something. Maybe that'll help

That sounds awful, it's hard when something is invisible people expect you to be ok.

My broken heart is the same it's restrictive at times but not visible, I despise having to tell people if I get a little unwell, that sympathetic look people give drives me crazy.
