You join things!
Clubs that interest you (running, cycling, whatever). Go out alone more (cinema, restaurants, galleries).
As my mum tells me, “you won’t meet anyone sat on the sofa”. I mean technically you can, via dating sites etc, but it’s good to broaden the horizons a bit. Put yourself out there!!

I actually Kiev’s little. I go to the pub once scc bc week. Yes, on my own like a sad ass because I know zero people who want to go out anymore.  |

If you meet people in life thats the way to go, you definitely can't rely on this place to meet although i do ok but i guess the younger fitter and more attractive you are you'll always do ok here  |

Work can be good and bad. Good that you'll spend plenty of time with your colleagues and they'll be able to get a fair idea of who you are and vice versa, bad because you'll spend a lot of time with your colleagues so if you meet one and break up it could make the workplace difficult.
Taking up a hobby and finding a club to meet folks with shared interests would be a good move.
If you have a dog, walking regularly in your local park could spark conversations with other dog owners or fans of dogs.
If you have any friends who have partners then that's also a good way to be introduced to someone, plus they might have a good idea as to whether you'll be a match or not.
Find a nice bar in town, not a dive bar, stay relatively sober and try to spark up a conversation with someone you like who looks open enough to talking. If they are on their own and looking around them plenty then that might be an indication that they wouldn't mind being approached. I would say a bar is the worst of the options I've said though.
Lastly, take advice from someone else cause my track record with meeting women is awful lol  |
