I have a problem with call center work due to hearing problem.. sensitive hearing.

Callers weren't shouting it was when sometimes when they hung up, a very loud high pitched pop noise sometimes occured due to technical issues.

I asked supervisor if I could have some filter thing and got one but was crap.

My problem is tinnitus and sensitive hearing from percussion noise.. basically from firing shit loads of rounds off with weapons and from colleagues without hearing protection and also loud explosions.

I have seen filters on varous websites but doubt theyd let me plug it into their equipment.

Anyone withe advice rsvp me? Cheers

Next Door

Haven't you got health and safety officer?

Tell your supervisor that the filter isn't adequate and you are still having issues.

Highlight also the issue to HR.

It's your employers duty to ensure that you have a safe and healthy workplace. Perhaps a conversation with HR rather than a supervisor? Occupational Health assessment would be a good start.
