It's horrible isn't it? I'm sat on the sofa virtually falling asleep but trying to get myself up to do my to do list. I've failed for over an hour and still haven't made a cup of tea either.
So best suggestions to get over fatigue needed. Please don't suggest energy drinks or caffeine.

Write a to do list and add times you need to start and finish them.. Once you're up and doing them you'll be fine and ready for more..
I get like that from time to time, and find having that written down in front of me and me making myself do them with the rewards of a coffee and a butty or something at the end of it works.

I've been quite ill for the past two years, and fatigue is part of it. Sometimes you just have to let it sink into you, and forgive yourself for not getting things done. Caffeine and energy drinks are awful, but dehydration does make it worse.
Water helps. I hope you feel better soon OP Xx |

Have you had your iron levels checked?? Maybe eating little and often to regulate blood glucose levels? Hope you feel better soon |

Fatigue is a dialysis struggle. I listen to my body and do what I can do then rest
Look up the spoons theory though cos its a nice way to explain how it works |

I suffer from this constantly due to a chronic autoimmune disease.
After decades of beating myself up for being "lazy", I now accept that I need way more sleep & rest.
If its a temporary issue, OP, just do what your body needs & don't be so hard on yourself. Stress makes it worse. Whatever you need to do can surely wait a little while.
And in the long term, planning is your best friend.
Feel better soon xx |

Ask for vitamin D to be checked. I had some jabs and it really helped me.
That said there’s physical and mental fatigue and a combination of both. Understanding which it is does help.
I was off work sick for a long time a few years back and fatigue was worse then. My body and mind sort of accepted that was the way it was. So finding that motivation is huge. Be it make a cuppa or anything
But, I am not a medical professional, if it’s constant I’d get it checked |

I've had iron infusions in the past and I'm currently putting everything in motion to get another as I'm low again. I should know next month on that one.
It's a pain and probably the cause. |

Ah ok, does sound like your levels might be low, as another poster said also worth getting vitamin d checked too. With meals, if you have a glass of orange juice with an iron rich meal, the vitamin c in the oj helps your body absorb the iron x |

Let it go.
Quick power nap.
You know the the ones, when you're drooling or wake up to your arm slips off the surface.
Then a couple of coffee/tea and do your chores.
It doesn't help, if you stay online making numerous threads I guess. |

Be kind to yourself and accept that this is hard.
I found exercise ( I know you need some mojo before you can get up) works wonders. Light workouts, yoga, walks and just fresh air ( even if it's popping to the corner shop for something).
Wish you the best. |

It's really debilitating having no energy and kinda a closed circle - as the more or less you do doesn't seem to help at all.
I get very tired when I'm dehydrated - i think i am last two days as i feel flat as a pancake.

It's truly crap isn't it.
My usual tricks haven't worked. I'm just buggered I think. I haven't recovered from being mega active on friday. but I've been able to recoup properly due to life commitments I couldn't avoid. That's what does me in the most. |

I have a chronic pain condition that comes with some absolutely crippling fatigue. I'm currently I'll on top of that and have slept for 12 hours and still feel utterly dead.
You just have to listen to you body, when you feel that tired don't fight it.
When I'm not ill I do find that walking can help me not feel so bone bag tired but it is hard to find the motivation for it. |

I rarely get tired. I lose motivation but if something (or someone) needs doing I’ll always have the energy.
But, I I think I need a bit of adrenaline for something, sweets. Sugary sweets. ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

As many others have said op, don't beat yourself up over it accept you need rest and allow that to happen. We are all different so listen to your body, if it's been like this for some time (weeks rather than days) seek a medical opinion as many things can exacerbate fatigue including stress.
Hope it resolves itself soon but be kind to yourself |

I've been permanently fatigued since December 2021.
It has been relentless and every day is a struggle and nothing works.
My sleep pattern has always been poor but I've never been tired like this.
It's just one of the reasons I haven't been meeting and won't be for the foreseeable future because I don't have the energy for chatting nevermind meeting. |

It's a vicious cycle. I get to sleep quite quickly, but then I wake 3 or 4 times through the night. I can't lie in. On the rare occasions I sleep almost through, I feel like shit during the day.... |

Stop having anything with sugar in it.
Stop coffee
Stop white flour
Get your bloods checked.
Make sure you get sleep each night.
Walk each day.
Eat iron rich foods ( easy to search them )
Make sure you laugh each day too |

Sorry to hear about this.
I am not familiar enough with CFS but generally speaking...Are there any patient forums? Possibly as well US based? Best if there is some sort of moderation (preferable by someone medical). Maybe you could find some advice there?
Again generally speaking for something chronical a diary may help. What makes it better/worse. If established that iron levels are an influence then I hope this can be adjusted soon.
Make sure you mention the impact this has on your life. Prioritisation is tricky at the moment in UK healthcare systems.
Hope you find ways to manage this!

I did over 13,000 steps on Saturday on a day out, so I'm paying for it big time.
I've mostly sat on the sofa, napped or been in bed.
Haven't left the house since I got home Saturday evening.
You just have to rest and not feel bad about it.
Today I've cut my dad's hair, done 2 loads of washing and baked a cake. There's a ton of other stuff needs doing but *shrugs* it's not going anywhere
Really must order some supplements.
I'm sure I've said this before, but I'd get your B12/vit D checked too. |
