Staines

I mostly trim but occasionally shave. When I shave I realise after 2 weeks or so that trimming is more comfortable. Is there a way to stop hair growing back inside?

Simply a good firm scratch with fingernails. Not so you damage skin, just enough so they skim the thin layer covering any hairs that have started to turn under. Once every couple of days is enough.

They say to use a proper shave foam and not to shave against the direction of hair growth, but it seems to happen anyway.

Oil rather than foam or gel, king of shaves is good.

Don’t use a modern triple blade razor. One blade is best, two blades for sensitive skin is ok. Don’t use disposable either, they are blunt out the pack.

I don’t actually shave but I had to learn a lot about it when I did because my skin melts if you show it a razor.

Oh don’t push down hard either, has the same effect as a triple blade of cutting the hair below the skin.

Exfoliate a day or so after shaving
