Have we..... as a nation forgot how to speak to people thanks to the explosion of social networks, texting etc?
An example for you. Being on call I was used to getting 3 or 4 calls a day sending me off to do various jobs.....It turned into getting the jobs by text, sometimes I wouldnt receive them till I got home if at all and then would come the phonecall asking why I hadn't been. Call me and verbally pass the required info over was my response.
A second example. I once upset a very nice lady friend who insisted on only texting to speak to me about pretty much everything. I missed an invitation out that was text to me, and would then be confronted with 'why didn't you reply?' messages.
Is the art of conversing dying out? |

Seriously though, I think a lot of people interact differently these days because of circumstances dictated to them by others.
I still go out and talk to people and my next door neighbor can talk the hind legs off a donkey |
