The right place

If you had to move to another part of the country, and money was no issue, where would you choose to live?

"Somewhere remote with no people around "

Yes. So this but with an easy-ish access to culture and arts and so called social life when I need change.

I find most people annoying on daily basis.

I agree with this. Easy access to mountains but not so far away I wouldn’t be able to see people when I wanted.

Next Door

I would love to live in Polperro.

I think I can cope with taking ages to get any where.

If I had that much money, weekends away for socials/clubs wouldn't be an issue

I like the sea pool in the rocks at polperro but a bit to quiet for me and walking up that hill would be the death of me

That’s true.

I love Cornwall but I love mountains too. If I could move the Cornish coast to Cumbria that would be perfect.

South Wales

A cottage near the sea (wherever)

A cottage near a loch (Scotland)

A cottage near the Ffjords (Norway)

Basically a cottage near water!

Lincolnshire

Somewhere on the coast - that you can hide away from people but close enough to hiking routes and civilisation when you wanted it.

Anglesey fits the bill although climbing Snowdon would annoy me for the crowds as I hike for the solitude. Would choose Cadair Idris instead.

Newborough in Anglesey is one of the best beaches I’ve been to.

If they’re a warm part of Britain, sign me up.

The lakes are nice. Scotland also. Some places In Cornwall. But also somewhere a little isolated would be good.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I already did.And I'm happy with where I moved to. So if money wasn't an issue the only difference would be I would buy a house rather than rent.

London

I'm always a bore on these threads as I would still want to live in London (no need to list all the reasons *you* hate it, thanks).

But I like the best of both, so if you want to buy my a bolt hole in the country, I'll settle for the Peak District, Suffolk coast or The Cotswolds. Thanks!

I’ve just moved to my favourite place. No chance I’m gonna move again… unless I buy my own island in the Maldives

?

I think I'd stay around the Peak District, it's bloody beautiful.

What's in the immediate vicinity of the house would be more important to me...a house in the middle of nowhere, away from people would be my ideal (I don't mind the odd hiker passing through, I'm not completely antisocial )
