Drink is a variable, sometimes I don't drink at all, other times I drink to excess. Never get nasty on it, but do get incapable sometimes.
I have a firm belief that drink doesn't change a person, just removes the control and reveals the true person in an uncivilised state. |

I'm going to try prosecco - friend of mine claims it doesn't cause a hangover, and doesn't have the same 'legless' effect as wine - AND, it's less calories than wine .
Regarding OP, I get very chatty and happy if I've had one too many - two too many and I'm horny, three too many and I'm snoring! |

I come from a family of big drinkers and when we get together we drink copious amounts. Mainly Guinness and whiskey. We never fight, no one gets loud but sometimes the odd song does break out.
My wife's family hardly drink at all and are astonished if I want a pint of a lunch time.
Saying that I rarely drink during the week, and if in company that doesn't drink I shall abstain. I am more often than not the designated driver so shan't drink then. I can take it or leave it. |

When d*unk I just talk a load of bollox then fall asleep "
I do cider now and again. Do you make it from scratch, or use a kit? |

When d*unk I just talk a load of bollox then fall asleep wow a home brew ... is it really nice ?? cider do you get a box and add things ?? "
Yes, you get the kit(there is a shop that does loads of different ones nr me) basically you just add sugar & water.
Went to Yarmouth (where my avatar pic was taken) a couple of years ago and when we got back the pressure barrel had exploded, too much sugar |

I have made it from scratch but it's more time consuming, my dad used to make bitter and wine from scratch. Many an evening was spent elderberry gathering. Elderflowers and rosehips were also gathered and he made a rather nice sherry on occasion too |

I drink most alcoholic drinks, and have noticed a difference between when I'm on vodka or rum or whisky.
Vodka makes me want to party, rum makes me want to eat (true) and whiskey makes me want to chill.
I go through phases of each, but love a glass of rose wine, probably does nothing to my attitude or personality but I get a few weird looks when I'm out with my footy mates and they are ordering 8 pints of lager, a glass of wine, and the barmaid looks for the female within our group lol |

Must admit I have never tried that. Cider kits always work well though. I make the sparkling type. Comes out like Diamond White, proper head banging |

I'm a happy d*unk. Love the world and then I fall asleep.
Must be a recessive gene though. My nan, uncle and mum were/are all alcoholics, and they are all nasty mean d*unks. Could start an argument with themselves. Or the parrot depending on who was around.

Its peoples perception of how they are when drinking a drink that determines their reaction. If someone believes they are aggressive if they drink vodka then their is a high probability that they will be because theyve already mentally programmed their brain before they drink a drop. This was studdied somewhere. I cant remember where. We also get lectures in work yearly about it.
They proved it by giving certain people from a group what they believed to be alcohol while the majority had the real thing. It tasted and looked the same but didnt contain alcohol. A good percentage of those drinking the placebo drink started to exibit d*unken behaviour. Some that started with alcohol were swithed to placebo after a while and their behaviour also worsened as if yhey eere still drinking. There was more to it than this brief explanation.
Just shows that yes alcohol does losen our inhibitions but its down to the person not the drink if they get violent |

I've never understood why people get tattooed but I rejoice in the fact everyone is different. |

I dont drink on the whole, but have done when Ive gone out with groups on a clubbing night out. Alcohol makes me even more chatty and I dont need any extra help in that department. I always know when to stop though, would hate to be d*unk.
I dont like losing control and people do tend to be unaware of how they really do come across when drinking. What might seem happy can often be perceived as loud and lairy to others. |

This is just my opinion but I think anyone that feels like they have to drink on a night out have something fundamental missing from there lives.. Alcohol changes you and never ever for the better..
I've never heard anyone with any common sense say that getting d*unk was a good idea.. Or that they made a fantastic decision after getting d*unk .. Lol |

I get really loud and chatty when I drink and also suffer with really bad hangovers. After one such hangover about 4 years ago I really don't drink that much at all now.
I have a couple glasses either red or rose wine but only if I have Zantac handy
And I am still loud and chatty when on soft drinks |

It isn't about 'having' to have a drink, it's about choosing to.
I'm well aware there are those who can't cope with alcohol and they shouldn't imbibe but, for the rest of us, it isn't the demon it can be portrayed as. |

Alcohol is bad for you that's why people are told not to drink and drive.. That's why advertising campaigns are run telling people to drink sensibly! ..
But each to there own . |

Alcohol is bad for you, I'm not going to deny that. Full of empty calories and artificial shite.
However, it is a legal drug which kills more people annually then marijuana, it's illegal counterpart. And while it is a taxed, legal drug, people will continue to use and abuse it, because society says they can. |

I'm a pub landlady so can definitely confirm that alcohol affects different people in different ways. I have some locals who are barred from drinking wine, others who aren't allowed to drink whiskey.
Whilst I don't drink much anymore, I've found in the past that whiskey makes me depressed, but cocktails make me happy - and horny. |
