Ok. However Cliff Richard sang about the 'Devil Woman' in 1976. Elvis famously claimed that someone was 'the devil in disguise', Iron Maiden's 'The Number of The Beast' refers to the devil. I don't think it's a new thing but maybe it's a reflection of the pretty dark times we're living through |

What do you mean "in plain sight"? Are you thinking these people are devil-worshippers and get involved in stuff like ceremonies where they drink people's blood? Lyrics can just be lyrics. |

It’s because Kerrang!! Is back on DAB radio isn’t it? The mainstream is worried it’ll lose its audience if it doesn’t now play up to the big red man down below |

Sounds a bit "Satanic Panic" to me. I'm sure people were moaning about exactly this sort of thing when I was at school, 40 years ago; and denouncing Dungeons & Dragons as a channel to the dark side - more like a channel to the dork side (I played a lot of it).
Bottom line - dont fret! The music industry is always trying to be edgy to appeal to the "rebellious nature of youth". |

Yes. When I listen to Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast", I do it with a fine glass of Chianti in my hand *slurping noises* |
