Inspired by the large number of people in our local updates section apparently wanting 'snow', are you a fan of the white stuff or does the thought of slippery roads and that horrible slushy melt off fill you with dread? |

I absolutely hate it. It makes my job incredibly difficult, and don't enjoy driving in it. Don't like being blocked in at home either. Just bloody awful. |

Very true. Beast from the East was the worst we've had for a few years. That year we had 6ft snow drifts at our house door for 7 weeks! |

"Love snow! Now I'm retired now will not have to trudge to work in it! That lot we had last December I had to leave early at 2 30 in morning to walk there as was 2 slippery for my 2 wheels x"

No. I dread it.
Yes it looks nice for a few hours ... BUT
It makes life difficult for animals
It thaws and causes floods
It pushes up the price of veg
I don't want to shovel it from my path
It surrounds the house in a cooler blanket
It turns to ice
It is dangerous to walk on
It stops transport
I don't want to clear it from my car
It impacts on the road and becomes lethal
The list is endless......
I'm a practical romantic..... NO NO NO Snow .... |
