When you let someone out at a road junction and they don’t give a little wave back
Jump to: Newest in thread
"First up against the wall when the revolution comes."
Followed by the ones who force their way out into your lane and then give you cheery ‘thanks pal!’ flash of the lights. Don’t thank me after not giving me a choice, dickhead. |

Not really, because you chose to let them out, they didn’t ask you to.
It’s nice for someone to say thank you, but if they don’t - meh, I’m not going to let that anger eat me up while they go on their merry way, totally unaware. |

Not really but I really dislike it when there's a really nice stretch of road coming up with a 60 limit and the person in front drives the length of it at 30. There's usually no chance of overtaking due to incoming traffic so you just have to sit there while Ernest and Maud take in the scenery |

I’m joining your army. |

Did anybody else read this as dropping off a passenger at the end of their road and being annoyed if they didn't wave bye bye? Personally I feel that the absolute minimum when I've given someone a lift is that they should blow me a kiss... |

"I hate it more when I try to let someone out at a junction and they just sit there an awkward length of time.
"
Stop trying to drive everybody elses car. Try realising that they are making the call as to wether it's safe or not to go ...
I ignore those on the main road by me who are trying to let me out. It's a dangerous bend. If they finished their manoeuvre i'd be able to see and pull out when I see fit to do so. |

I got road raged by a woman who I thought was letting me out.
Apparently she left a big gap because she was staring at a broken down car, and couldn’t have let me out into the queue because she was “in a company Car”.
Everyone is mental. |

I'd like to be nicer but I do drive on for a few seconds thinking that the road knights should just stick to the highway code unless traffic is indredibly slow moving ....... AS IS SODDING THE RIGHT THING TO DO!
Why do people decide to do something to 'feel good' when it is in FACT dangerous and then they get VIOLENT in their reaction when the other driver simply drives their own car according to the highway code. ? |

"She shouldn't have shouted at you. Were you scared. "
No, I look like Hagrid. And I have a wicked tow bar. Funny how being sat in a tin box gives you confidence to kick off where you wouldn’t do so in a shop, for example.
I figured she was having one of those days. I just wanted to get home, too.
I’ll admit I was a bit… bemused? |

I just smile inside. |

Waving and nodding are rapidly consigning themselves to the history books in this day and age of such heavily tinted windows that you will be lucky to see a drivers face or hands unless they have the interior light on.
I usually wave via the open driver's window (remembering to avoid clobbering the plastic wind deflectors that these grey imports all come with)! |

"Slight tangent, when did we decide that blinding people with a momentary flash of maon beam was a suitable way of saying thank you."
With a half decent car which doesn't decide for itself what to do,you can do it by twisting the dipped beam control on and off, or off and back on if it is already in use.
Always assuming that the controls aren't laid out for the greater convenience of continental drivers rather than for proper right hand drive.
