To eat: must tries are Bratwurst (sausage) and Lebkuchen (gingerbread but much much better than what you find in Lidl).
Try the local wine from Frankonia. The whites are very good.
If you are a carnivore try this...

If time go with a train to Munich or Regensburg. Both are great and train travel is not too expensive. Just check if they are no strikes first.
