I was on there ten years ago and met someone who went on to become my fiancé. He was an amazing person, so they can’t all be bad.
I do think dating apps are so different nowadays though and seem to see the same faces pop up across different platforms. |

We got our account blocked. Male profile looking for females (as you can't have a couples profile on POF). But, being open and honest to people didn't work in our favour . 
Even though their are Women on dating sites interested in swinging.

I can’t knock it. It’s how we met and fell in love.
I had quite a few dates beforehand and met some great guys. A couple of, I’m still vanilla friends with. But also acquired a stalker at one point which was awful.
I think there’s ups and downs with all these sites.

When I was single I found the site quite successful in meeting for causal hook ups. It seemed the place for many to hit up when newly single and looking for physical company in my experience. Also a lot of weirdness on there but hey that's the Internet as a whole right? It can be hard work at times and a bit of a cess pit but also had some great times and met some great women off the back of it. As it is a dating site it's important to be clear what you are looking for from the start if you're not looking for something beyond the causal (which should go with me saying).

I’ve had a few dates from there but nothing that lasted. I had success on a different dating app and met the fella I had kids with, but that ended and since then I’ve not really looked. I noticed that over the years the same profiles were still on there and I found that was discouraging.
Now I am leaving my romantic life to fate and whatever happens happens. |

I had 2 horror meets from that site....both catfish....way older too....1 rob*ed me & another held me against my will....crazy experience tbh....  I obvs left the site then....

I was on POF for less than 24 hours in early 2019, i mentioned being poly in my profile and I got so much really awful abuse in my inbox that i just left. I did have one positive interaction on there though, he and i play upwords online ever since and have chatted over the years - we are currently playing our 100th game and to mark the occasion we are meeting for real for a drink at a pub in a few weeks  |

Was on it years ago when I split from my ex. The first date I had was interesting, within 5 minutes I was asked if I’d ever been dogging. Then would I like to try. I declined but she ended up at mine for the weekend which was good fun.
The 2nd message was from a lady slightly older and local to me “I’m happily married but we don’t have sex. I love my husband and am not looking for a relationship. Would you like to meet for sex?” I was in she came round on her lunch break from work. With in 3 steps of being in the door she was naked. She was the one who introduced me to Fab. We fucked twice a week right up until COVID. Always messaged through Fab. Then one day her account was gone and not seen her since.
The third was I got home late from work. Was bored so went on POF got a message from a lady “Hi” I replied “hi how’s you”? “I’m good just got myself a cup of tea” I replied “that’s nice you could have made me one”. “Come round I’ll make you one, but it’s only tea nothing else!” “That’s fine by me” I was bored and thought a cup of tea and a chat would be nice. She sent me her address 10 miles away and off I went.
I arrived and she made me tea, sat on the sofa. Within seconds her hands were undoing my jeans and she had my cock in her mouth. Then said “let’s go upstairs” I wasn’t complaining. She stripped me naked threw me on the bed and was riding me in minutes. We met several times over the next few months, she started then to get clingy. I wasn’t ready for a relationship so called it a day.
In a way it was very much like here, I stopped using it as it did get more relationship based and not been on it for about 10 years. Didn’t know it was still going to be fair. |
